Good post - absolutely pathetic the distain of these Red Clowns for Republicanism - civil liberties - and the founding principles.

One flaw though . while this is an example of Dems finally listening to the will of the people .. there are not many others .. quite the reverse actually .. and it took them long enough - Obama did Squat federally - finally it looks like Biden will do this - which is a smart political move given the wild unpopularity of Pot Criminalization and the war in drugs in general.

Can't get over what a joke these Republicans in Virginia are ..

Change takes time, and it takes even more time when an entire political party exists solely to prevent said change — and then to slow down or cripple implementation.

The UN? Have you followed what's going on with the UN and marijuana?

This is a good start. Putting people in the system for a plant has zero benefit to society. I support decriminalization for all drugs.

I been saying since 2015 all he had to do was federally deschedule it for a guaranteed 8 year term. I still think that would've been a game changer.

Here in Colorado, we've had legalized 'recreational' marijuana longer than any other state.

As a right-wing Conservative, I voted for in favor of this from the beginning, purely for the tax income that it provides the state. And, yes, marijuana sales do generate a large bonanza of tax money -- BUT -- when YOUR state legalizes MJ (as all of them surely will), try to be very, very damned careful WHERE the state spends that tax money!

A surprising amount of the tax money from MJ sales here in Colorado is pissed-away on "prevention programs" to keep people from getting too stoned too often, and other nanny-state bullshit that was concocted to suppress the sale of the very MJ products that generate the tax income in the first place! Spending tax money to keep people from buying the thing that generates the tax money! Who but a liberal Democrat could see the sense in THAT?! :spin:

You should also realize that when your state legalizes MJ, you will become a magnet for all the homeless 'stoner'-bums, 'campers', and other human dreck that will litter your parks, streams, streets, and pubic areas with piss, vomit, sh!t and disease.

Your "city fathers" may react in horror at all this filth, garbage, and dangerous, stinking crap -- BUT -- there will be little or nothing that they can do to get rid of these scaggy creeps because 'advocacy groups', like the ACLU fight and win in the court systems to make certain this growing human pestilence has the right to be where ever they like, and to do virtually anything they want.

Vote as you wish on legalization, but be aware that legalized marijuana isn't entirely a 'blessing'.... :juggle:

Works like a charm here. No scraggly creeps anywhere. Not even downtown. I think your problem has other causes. It's not legal pot causing it.

I would like to know what state you're in, and maybe what city. Obviously, if you have legalized, recreational weed and DON'T have the many problems we've had in the Colorado Springs-Denver corridor here in Colorado, you guys are are doing something very right that we are not....

[IMG]. Welcome to Denver -- the "Queen City of the Plains".... :puke::-(
