I know democrats that are complaining about Biden's policies that say they still won't vote Trump

This is why I think its a BAD idea for him to run again. Even if Joe's policies totally flop (which they already are), it still isn't enough to surpass hate for Trump
We all also know, even admitted by many liberals in here, they didn't vote FOR Biden, they voted AGAINST Trump. So my theory is that no matter how crappy Joe's policies are, even if some liberals have to do dumpster diving as a result of it, they would still NEVER vote for Trump.
just something to think about when you are voting in the 2024 primaries

Just as there are those who would NEVER vote for Biden. These people exist on both sides of the aisle. Same thing happened in 2016 election. Many people voted against the other candidate rather than for a candidate. Hell, I voted third party in 2016 AND 2020 because I didn't like either candidate.
This trend seems like it's going to be around for the foreseeable future.

I think that there are people that vote on how much they like a person VS the policies. I consider voting on emotion to be lame but it appears a large majority of the country does not think that way.
    KEYSTONE XL PIPELINE for starters!
I know you love to bash Trump but please try to stay on topic. What this topic is about is why do some people think its a good idea for him to run again because clearly policy doesn't matter to anti-trumpers.

Hey, the liberals that I know aren't bobbleheads who have to nod with approval to everything Biden does. Biden voters are not a cult, they can disapprove of things they don't like, even if they voted for the guy. Just like they disapprove currently of Cuomo, and may force him to resign. It's not like we are Trump voters who circle the wagon and have to pretend that Biden is god like.

Nobody who didn’t vote for trump in 2020 would ever vote for him in the future, and a growing number of those who did will never vote for him again. If the repubs don’t grow a set and throw trump and his cult under the bus, they won’t be winning the White House any time soon.

I understand all of that and agree with most of it, but do you disagree most voted for biden because they liked him rather than because they hate trump? I just never hear liberals talking about biden's policies often which makes me think they no longer vote on this (not all of them obviously)

Unfortunately, Dems are unlikely to vote for a Rep candidate (even if Biden's policies turn out to be disastrous) because the Republican party seems to have become the party of Trump. Even without him running in 2024, the party seems to want to cling to him. So until we see a break from Trump influence in the party - you won't see anyone voting across the divide.

You still seem super triggered about Biden's craptastic policies being called out. If you feel so strongly about his policies then you are free to make a thread about it. As for this thread, please follow the examples of the other people and STAY ON TOPIC
    Thanks

"I know democrats that are complaining about Biden's policies that say they still won't vote Trump"

Good. Given the complete dumpster fire that was the Dirty Donnie Superspreader Seditionist Swamp Thing administration , Biden would have to permit another
pandemic ashore before I wouldn't vote for him.

Feel free to make a pandemic thread if that's what you want to talk about. I assume you are referring to the CHINA VIRUS, FROM CHINA, a country that TRUMP banned travel from when he found out about it and got BLASTED by the LEFT for it. feel free to make that thread and we can discuss. This, however, is not a PANDEMIC thread. please stay on topic , thank you

Unless the candidate is me, it's hard to imagine me supporting every policy a politician puts forth. I assume that goes for everyone else, too. It's possible to complain about the 10%, or even 75%, of policies that a candidate supports while recognizing that you would disagree with 99% of the other candidate's policies. I think Biden and the dems are all too happy to raise taxes and spend money on stuff I don't think is necessary. But that sure as hell beats the republicans who will spend money on other stuff I don't think is necssary while just borrowing that money. Biden has a lot of social policies that I don't think are progressive enough. But they're far and away more progressive than anything a republican will put forth, especially Trump.

In other words, no politician is perfect, but some are far less imperfect than others.

Trump will have to offer hardcore Democrats a deal they can't refuse to win their votes.
Which is not to say that it would be all that hard to do that. ;-)

Once the CP purged the Communists from the party the job was done.
So, there is something to be said for the efficiency of a one party government. ;-)

My post is completely on topic.
You assume wrong. I'm referring to the virus Trump allowed to run rampant in the US as an example of his incompetence.
Biden would have to demonstrate more incompetence than Dirty Donnie the Seditionist Superspreader Swamp Thing before I would consider not voting for him.

Donald Trump does not deserve to ever be in a position of power again. I would prefer it if he never ran even so much as a hot dog stand.

Of course Trump's being unqualified, unworthy of this country, and undeserving of the office do not translate into Biden being a good president. Biden could very well end up a stinker just like Trump.

If Biden ends up sucking, it's still not an endorsement of Trump. Trump is bad because Trump is bad. If Biden is bad it's because Biden is bad.

So far I haven't had much reason to dislike Biden. The progressives in his party are another matter entirely, but Biden himself hasn't been bad. And it's been real nice not having a national embarrassment reoccurring every day like we had to live through with Trump.

Hopefully both parties can nominate people actually worthy of the office for 2024. I'd be just as happy to vote for a non-Trumpian non-Q-anon moderate(ish) Republican in 2024 as I would their counterpart among the Democrats. Given the state of the progressive influence on the Democrats, I'd be thrilled if we could get a guy like Romney. Not bonkers or living in their own fantasy worlds like the Trump Republicans, but not a Democrat who could be influenced by the nutty progressives either.

Thanks. This sort of confirms my worse fears. All of the things you mentioned negative about trump don't mention any of his policy failures. This is exactly why I think him running again is a horrible idea.
