Fair enough. Lets do the one claiming that republicans support violence.

    Assumptions.

A Democratic Republic would do nicely.

Majority rule. Mob rule was MAGA, 1/6/21

If you lived in Athens 2300+ years ago.

Then again, Socrates probably wasn't too thrilled with it -

    Cheers!

A some idiots, and you call that 'mob rule'.

Did you apply that phrase to the 'unruly protests' in a number of cities last year?

Majority rule. Not mob rule. Do you think the winner of elections is the one with less votes?

And what did the idiots succeed in doing? Making fools of themselves while they took selfies, smoked cigarettes and stole things.

Once again, majority rule without constraints is mob rule. What part of my meme was unclear?

As to elections, a fine strawman. Shall you try again?

I appreciate that. The claim that 2016 people that answer unidentified calls and have time for a long survey represent "Americans" is a stretch. These are people with nothing going on and could use a free laptop computer. Those who are successful and are raising a family are not represented in these results.

Would you take time from work or time with your family to take such a long survey?

I take every survey I get. Kid, partner, two businesses. I don’t know if I would call myself “successful” but am definitely average.

Why do you think “successful” people don’t answer polls? If that is the case then no polls are ever valid.

You would only be talking to the choir. Democrats have no intention of having the debate.

All persons who have not voted in the last two elections should be purged from the rolls.

Voter registration should be cut off at 30 days before the election so that the rolls can updated.

Registration should require a picture I.D. just as it's required for most any type of business. A valid Social Security Card should also be supplied. The state then can take that information and a supply hologram voter card. An alternate check would to have people palm scanned.

Verified registered voters can began voting 15 days before the election and verified at the polls in person.

Mail in ballots must be submitted 3 days before the election and opened and counted first after the polls close on election night. Only those who have a valid reason should be allowed mail in ballots and subject to verification.

    Ballot harvesting will be unlawful.

Redistricting is a State Right and is in accordance with the census. If gerrymandering gets too out of balance the courts can be arbitrator's. Most gerrymandering is actually done to carve out ridiculous looking districts to give minorities some power. (Like reverse discrimination)

Voting is not just a right but also a privilege and the outcome should be determined by those who have time invested in who is elected.

1 - Define 2 elections? Some localities have elections every year, but I'd have no problem with purging non-voters after perhaps 8 years, which is what I think you were saying. In addition, there have to be better ways to ensure dead people and moved people are removed. But I agree with the bill that NO purging should be allowed within 6 months of the next election.

2 - Nope. .. what if I move to a new state within 30 days? I cannot vote? Not gonna happen...

3 - I registered my son online in Virginia last May and had to provide his SSN, but no picture ID. They already have his picture in the DMV database. Palm scans?? Get real...

4 - 15 days early voting is the minimum required in the bill, but most states will allow longer. We voted in Va in late Sept in 2020, and I'd like to keep that option for at least 30 days here. I bet most localities that did that agree as well...

5 - I'd have no problem with an early deadline for submitting mail-in's, but you have to allow for overseas/military ballots as well.
Processing (obviously no reporting) should occur as early as possible. Like the beloved Florida of conservatives.... Something I agree with Florida on..... OMG....

6 - Not a fan of ballot harvesting, so I'd go with a LOT more OFFICIAL secure drop off locations as a tradeoff.

7 - The SCOTUS has already passed on fixing gerrymandering, so rules have to be established and there must be guidelines states must follow. No state legislature should decide voting districts. Your interpretation of the history of gerrymandering made me laugh because it's so untrue.

So we do agree on some and disagree on some.... That's not too bad.

    1. I was talking about two Presidential Elections.

    2. Exceptions can be made for certain circumstances. A notification to your former state to remove you from their rolls should suffice.

    3. I live in Virginia also and when I go to the hospital I use a palm scan for I.D.. It's simple and quick. Even registering on line could have a program set up for initial scanning.

    7. If you ever look at the districts of Va you will see Bobby Scotts district runs from Richmond to Virginia Beach. It was gerrymander to give more minority representation. I believe there also was one set up in the western part of the state for the same reason.

I can't vote on sunday where I live. No one seems particularly upset about it. We did, recently open polls up on Saturdays. Perhaps folks in GA believe that one good sermon from the pulpit and off to the polls with you is the best way to herd the sheeple. People here just don't cotton to that...

Stretching the definition of “cheating” pretty thin. Whatever helps you reconcile the theft of thousands of votes I guess.

The Republican revolt against democracy, explained in 13 charts

I think you have defined a difference of opinion with a revolt against democracy. Your charts show a difference of opinion.

In our area auto dealers cannot open on Sundays. Years ago the dealers lobbied for the law and got it passed. No liquor sales on Sunday either. I don't know who lobbied for that.
