Democracy must be maintained but if government is non-Democratic then Democratic measures cannot be used to bring the nation towards Democracy. Combating propaganda is a daunting task, especially when each side is circling the wagons around their own radicals. Since democracy should be about individual as well as general welfare (equality, happiness, opportunity) - meaning minorities matter as much as the majority, and each individual matters as much as the whole community - all ideologies that jeopardize this balance must be treated as dangerous and undesirable, including homegrown and foreign propaganda. I'm always trying to follow this rule when judging ideas, actions, and policies, my own biases notwithstanding.

The US will be great again when elected policy makers care about people, all the people, instead of courting those most likely to vote for them - well, as much as humanly possible, given our own limitations.
