But as expected, people are now unsatisfied with it... for scaling-down unneeded government mandates... You'd think we just took all the lane-markers off the roads or something based on the general reaction and it's funny because Brian Williams and the local hammer-and-sickle types have the same reaction right now, which is "Nooooo you can't just downplay Covid can we please continue creating laws and wearing masks!!!?"

Absolutely hilarious how the revos are the ones telling me to get used to the Covid status-quo more than anyone else.

It is sad what has happened to Austin and Dallas

As Cal businesses move to TX, they will bring Democrat voters with them and will create the problem from which they tried to flee. Democrat voters just don't get it. They move to TX to escape high cost of living or come to FL for the same, and then they vote Democrat which screws the pooch

Many businesses still require them on their premises and will continue to so, it doesn't really matter much.

Ca and Tx will bear the brunt of the 100 million or so illegal aliens Democrats are bringing in to replace those 'Deplorable' white proles at the ballot boxes. With some 30 million already here and voting, it will be hilarious watching Democrats trying to keep all those promises to those violent racist hoodlums in the black Hoods and barrios both. lol and with the assorted dictators around the globe already launching attacks on their neighbors and Chairman Joe already at war backing a commie group in the ME.

The important thing to note about what Abbott did was the reaction by the libotards in the media. It had nothing to do with people getting sick from a virus. They never cared about that.

They get off on the control of mandates and shutdowns and desperately do not want them to end.

Don't forget that they have been and still are riding the federal gravy train known as CARES Act. Likely the biggest plunder of the US Treasury since the Global War Of Terror.

I sensed desperation when Biden called the Texas and Mississippi folks "Neanderthals." Dem leadership is afraid they are losing the control that the c-virus gave them. And if you think they really care about the illness affecting us, think again, as Biden is allowing covid-positive illegals into the country and to travel to the heart of the country. In fact, I wonder if part of the reason for the unfettered immigration is to get the corona ball rolling again. They need it; it's always been about control.

Yes, everyone who didn't vote for Biden and the Democrats were just demoted from Hillary's Deplorables to Biden's Neanderthals. Unity is great!!! :)

But yeah, we're going to have a major issue at the border no later than June. Caravans are back in style...and this time they're bringing their drugs, their crime, their rapists and their Covid.

It's a shame. I wonder if things have to get just as bad as they can be before some people start getting it and then we can rise again. Stay safe.

The middle class lost the ability to govern itself in the 1960's; 'liberty' died with the Civil War, technically, so the applause is a little late.

I'd about 'critical race theory', which are fancy pseudo-intellectual terms for displacing white working class Americans with more docile and stupid proles from south of the border. None of this affects the wealthy whites in Beverly Hills or Greenwich, Conn. or the Hamptons. and since they don't pay taxes they're fine with selling American working class citizens out to foreigners with no sense of patriotism are ethics, and just come here to work and plunder, the demographics that don't care about 'globalism' or the Constitution or anything else, like a lot of the commies in academia and the Wall Street partners of Red China and its labor racketeering schemes. Commies and corps share the same contempt for workers and get along great these days.

"I LIKE THE CUT OF HIS JIB: Mississippi Gov Fires Back After Biden Mocks Lifting Lockdowns As ‘Neanderthal Thinking.’ “Mississippians don’t need handlers. As numbers drop, they can assess their choices and listen to experts. I guess I just think we should trust Americans, not insult them.”

Actually, it’s Neanderthals who probably would have tried to ward off sickness by relying on magical amulets. In limited circumstances, masks do a lot of good. In others, they’re no better than a bear-tooth necklace and a rattle. And the way masks are being treated these days, it’s more like the latter."

So where do you draw the line on the frequency of all of those things? I suggest that there still would have been lockdown at the start while we figured out what the virus was because it was new, even if it turned out to be less deadly than the flu, because at the start nobody knew how deadly it was. But then eventually, I assume, we would have returned to normal once it was determined that it is less deadly than the flu. So obviously it was determined that the death rate, and emergency rate was too high to return to normal. I just wonder how much less deadly it would need to have been to have returned to normal.

Well I find that question just as difficult to answer as I'm sure you find this question difficult: just what number of deaths do you consider the, UNacceptable price, to keep the economy locked down?

You mean Florida which has less COVID death than a bunch of locked down Democrat States and which has the second oldest population in the country?

Yes, and such partial road shut downs don't happen.

Yeah, I have to say, I did find this quite bizarre that some States (not exclusively Texas, right?) decided to open this far into the immunization process. It would have made more sense to open up before the vaccine program started. I can't help but think that if they waited this long under COVID restrictions, what's the harm in waiting a little longer?

Tens of thousands of sick illegals pouring across the border every single day and this fool unmasks a state that gets about half of them. I want a new country. Republicans and Democrats have doomed this one.

No, I mean the Florida that the CDC website lists as having the third-highest number of deaths in the country (though it lists NYC & NY State separately, so combining those would put Florida at 4th).
