I sensed desperation when Biden called the Texas and Mississippi folks "Neanderthals." Dem leadership is afraid they are losing the control that the c-virus gave them. So where do you draw the line on the frequency of all of those things? I suggest that there still would have been lockdown at the start while we figured out what the virus was because it was new, even if it turned out to be less deadly than the flu, because at the start nobody knew how deadly it was. But then eventually, I assume, we would have returned to normal once it was determined that it is less deadly than the flu. So obviously it was determined that the death rate, and emergency rate was too high to return to normal. I just wonder how much less deadly it would need to have been to have returned to normal.

Well I find that question just as difficult to answer as I'm sure you find this question difficult: just what number of deaths do you consider the, UNacceptable price, to keep the economy locked down?

Yeah, I have to say, I did find this quite bizarre that some States (not exclusively Texas, right?) decided to open this far into the immunization process. It would have made more sense to open up before the vaccine program started. I can't help but think that if they waited this long under COVID restrictions, what's the harm in waiting a little longer?
