Paid To Stay Home— Coronavirus Aid Bill Pays Federal Employees With Kids Out Of School Up To $21K The feds are getting a nice little perk to stay home with their kids if their school isn't back full-time. What about all the other parents whose children are remote learning? When does this kind of double-standard stop? Is that even possible in politics? Basically, it's $1,400 for the average citizen and $1,400/week (for up to 15 weeks) for the feds. What do you think?
Is everyone cool with the general public getting $1,400 while the feds can get up to $21K if their kid's school is closed?
Probably because most had not read the bill. I am Fed Employee and I am embarrassed by this and know a few people that will scam the system and take advantage of it.
I mean why aren't people, in general, speaking out against it? There are plenty of kids still on remote learning whose parent(s) could use some ongoing financial help. We've been arguing with one another for several days over a Nazi symbol but this gets crickets?
get the kids back into school; problem solved if not, why shouldn't the productive pay more for the unproductive? Democrat voters voted for that
I have not. However, I'm inclined to believe they don't want to advertise this in any way so which is why it's buried in the bill. I'll keep searching and post if I find something related to this.
