I really do not get how some of these folks thought it was ok to trespass and they were taking selfies. Don't they know that only lefties can get away with that?

I couldn't help giggling a little when I read the coverage of this. He was so sure of himself when he was sitting at Pelosi's desk, taking pictures. And then bragging on social media about everything he took from his office. Hell, even when the authorities came with a warrant to search his home, he told them to search away but that they wouldn't find anything because he's a 'smart man'. Well, now we see a different side. A whiney side. Poor diddums doesn't like the way he's being treated.

The other one that's just as silly is the guy that went on a hunger strike because he couldn't get his organic food. I guess they are only brave in packs.

Hawk Newsome the Leader of BLM New York says if they don't get what they want, they're going burn down the American System, so Black Lives Matter a MARXIST! organization is threatening to Burn Down and Overthrow the US Government. All members associated with BLM should be rounded up and thrown in Jail for the rest of their Miserable lives.

Should Kathy Griffin be arrested and sentenced for an extra long prison term for holding the Bloody Severed Head of Donald Trump as if they had just Guillotined him. Curious if you displayed the same Outrage for this, Barricading Police officers inside burning Police Stations and and the Antifa riots against Federal Property last year as you do for the Capitol Riots.

Not if it punishes people worse than regular vandalism, no. I think people who damage monuments are morons, just like the capital rioters were morons, but there should be no special extra harsh punishment for it.

So I assume you think the same for the ones that firebombed federal buildings in Portland, right?

They should all be prosecuted as domestic terrorists.

I don't see anybody in this thread defending him.

What I do see is a whole bunch of people pointing out the balatent hypocrisy of the left, and since they can't defend it, they spin like you just did.

They were voted in to run the country not be soldiers. Why wouldn't someone feel intimidated by a mob of people breaching their workspace and threatening to kill one of them?

Your definition of "worse" is way different than mine.

I love how you are attempting to defend one against the other. It speaks volumes mello. Everybody else here is pointing out the hypocrisy while not defending this idiot on trial, and you want to keep playing this "whats worse" game.

200 people storming the capital building causing minimal damage, or thousands of people burning cities for month, including federal buildings, intimidating and engaging police, millions of dollars in damages.

lol. that fact you are trying to hard speaks volumes.

And do you support Pelosi rigging her commission so it only looks at rightwing groups?

    Pelosi’s Latest Partisan Commission
After Jan. 6, she follows her financial-crisis script, creating a panel to reach a foregone conclusion.

Yes, history repeats itself, especially when it is made by the same person, for the same reason, and with the same vehicle. Unlike the 9/11 Commission, which was praised for its bipartisanship, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s proposed commission to review the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol will mirror the unbalanced Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission she set up after the 2008 financial crisis, and will be a failure for the same reasons....

.....Democrats and their supporters in the press have insisted that the reasons for the attack on the Capitol are clear and that there is no need for balance in studying it. These arguments echo what we heard before the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission was formed, and it performed exactly as skeptics expected. The Dodd-Frank Act has never had significant support of Republicans, primarily because they correctly believed that the FCIC failed to produce a fair or credible report.

There are no doubt many disagreements between Democrats and Republicans about the events of Jan. 6, but the purpose of studying such events is to find the facts and put them before the American people—the ultimate decision-makers about political matters. If Americans can’t agree that the commission is fair—that it is pursuing truth rather than political advantage—its report, like the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission’s, will be worse than worthless.

Most of these people need serious help. If anyone should go to jail it's Trump for taking advantage of the mentally ill.

Then again the whole Republican Party should be arrested for that.

For God's sake this is the Grand Old Party. They used to have people like William F. Buckley and George Will and they engaged even them in healthy debate and intelligent controversy. Now they have Trump and Stephen Miller and they literally worship these ersatz Nazis, what has happened to this country?
