I can't agree. It is much more effective if the pernicious ideas are not articulated in the first place and it is important to strike fear into those people who might endorse them to shuthem up preemptively.
    Bigots have no rights.

The troops were not wrong and yes, a good leader will stand up for his troops even when they make a mistake. It is a shame you as an officer did not know this.

And people have the right to respond to what he says.

    :roflol:

That is one of the most hilariously clueless statements about women I've ever read. Are you really saying that you know better than a woman what is or isn't chauvinistic, sexist, or downright misogynistic?

Sorry if that sounds a little snarky, but come on! Seriously?

"...by questioning what he said that was so egregious and then by only responding that he did not explicitly state..."

YOU are the one who said that Tucker said that pregnant women should be discharged, not some mysterious third person. We're not going any further until you can address that honestly.

"Edit: I never claimed that Tucker said pregnant women should be discharged..."

Not to put too fine a point on it, but your response to my question on what specific comments Tucker made included those pregnancy comments.

As for your other questions that you were using as a distraction from this issue, I've given my response in post #71.

No there are many policies some of whioch do actual harm to the military.
The basis of the attacks on those policies are that such policies are not in the best interest of defending the US and waging war which is what the military is for.

It is in no way based on misogyny except to those of limited intellect who do not grasp what misogyny is.

I said it very clearly and will say it again.

Women do not know better than men what misogyny is. I never said anything about men knowing better.

The hilarious example of ignorance is your failed attempt at spin

Sigh... just a reminder on what question of mine you were "responding" to:

So if your response to a question is another question, and you'll not respond to my first question until you've gotten your answer to your question, than I think we are done here, with you simply wasting everyone's time.

Of course we do. People used to think that "woman" and "adult female human" were synonyms. Not anymore.

Answer this one question if you don't mind: should the military provide maternity uniforms for pregnant service members?

If you’re winning your wargames then you’re doing it wrong!

the goal of wargames is to find weakness in your strategies and tactics so that they can be improved. You can’t do that by winning at them. And china’s navy is at best a regional power. Hell, I’d put my money on Japan’s SDF navy instead.

I think there is a bit room for debate about the rigor with which even top schools conduct the operation of their testing and grading standards, although I will concede that many who attain admission to these schools are among the most qualified candidates not only in the US but on Earth.

I am not sure why you seem to feel it necessary to mention your own personal background as part of this argument. Your point can easily stand on its own. Much less to drag your kids into it. Pride, isn't that one of the seven deadly sins?

I am well aware that many Harvard and Yale grads occupy choice positions of power in the US Federal Government, "on both sides".

However, there really aren't two sides in this game. It's all being played in right field. Well, no, that's not quite correct either. The US at the Federal level seems to be operating now like the most massive cruise ship on Earth without a rudder, driven by the weather and the wind and trim props that barely have effect. I've far more critical analogies, but I'll skip them for now.

Apparently by trying to be centered though, you may have missed the irony that the elite are on stage at CPAC, etc, rallying the "base" which crowd shots show to be an audience of Amway devotees. Interestingly, you will be unlikely to succeed in providing an example of formal D political organizations offering that they represent the salt of the Earth and are therefore more worthy of the Amway votes.

I imagine our woke military leadership thought they would benefit from the prior default support American normals had for ‘the military’ when jumping into politics against Tucker Carlson. Except they failed to note how normals had been burned by other institutions previously.

America is lifting up two middle fingers to the "woke" tyrants.

This is true, I sure do not. I was enlisted, retired as a Gunnery Sergeant of Marines.

But what I do know about, is leadership, sadly most officers care more about their careers than their troops. Based on my time working with the AF it was far worse for in the AF than in the Corps.

The two best officers I ever worked under were terminal LtCols. They always put their troops first and it cost them the chance for more advancement. But they were loved by their troops who would have gone to hell and back for them.

An example comes to mind....when I was a SSgt I worked for a LtCol that had my back and allowed me to totally revamp the way we ran our shop. Some of the local flying squadrons did not like my changes but he had my back in the end things were way better. One day I was talking with a LCpl in my shop who was telling me about one of the pilots from a local squadron that had cursed her out over the phone and my OIC walked by. 10 min later he called me into his office and asked me about the discussion I was having with the LCpl. Less than 30 minutes later the Capt was standing in front of my LCpl apologizing for his actions that were unbecoming an Officer of Marines.
