Just reminding you the failures of your ideology. Recent numbers have been indicating that those living in Republican dominated states, gave contracted the virus, and died at a rate that is 1.7 times higher than Democratic dominated states, including New York and California. Part of it is due to government action, or lack thereof, part of it is due to people thinking they somehow know better, defending their “rights” or whatever they are hyped up on. People like Ammon Bundy are the reason more people in conservative states are contracting the virus and dying, than in liberal states. Half of conservative men are saying that they are going to refuse to be vaccinated.

A rather strong strain within the Republican Party is certainly anti government. The sentiment has existed, at least since the fifties. It was brought out in full frontal view with the line Reagan was using on the campaign. That the worse thing one can hear is, I’m from the government and I’m here to help. Is not the Republican Party the party that says it wants to shrink the government so small that it can drown it in a bath tub? The party whose perennial platform has been to cut regulation and taxes, reduce the reach of government. Have you ever listened to Rand Paul or his dad? Their rhetoric is not all that different from what the Bundys have been practicing.

 

You are referring to the libertarians not conservatives. Rand and his dad are libertarians who choose to work within the GOP. Gary Johnson ran for president in the libertarian party. His platform rested on two issues, the legalization of all drugs and open borders. These are positions consistent with Bundy but not conservatives. Conservatives do believe in limited government but still understand the vital roles that government needs to play. Bundy rejects the government's role as he calls for such things as defunding the police. Indications are that Bundy goes well beyond the libertarians, embracing the anarchists.

Prisons are full of white supremacists. They're already radicalized. Kinda why they're in prison. Bundy would be nothing more than a celebrity.
