Pantene features ad with transgendered girl

Pantene, a shampoo brand, has released a commercial featuring a lesbian couple raising a boy who has decided that he is a transgendered girl.

It is being widely panned on sites such as Facebook and Twitter.

The lesbian couple introduces their "daughter", Sawyer, who is transgender. They indoctrinated the child, who is probably just trying to be like his parent role models who are raising him, with the parents being all too enthusiastic encouraging the child that he can be a girl, and probably putting the child on the track to hormone blockers and gender reassignment surgery in the near future.

Wouldn't be surprised if that child later realizes this was a terrible mistake, that he won't realize until after it's too late, when he's grown up or in his late teens.

Pantene is a brand owned by the company Procter & Gamble, which has in the past done things like removing feminine symbols from Always sanitary pads, out of consideration for the transsexual community, and showing a transgendered child (female on male hormones) shaving her chin in an ad for Gillette razors.

 

I generally don't watch commercials, but whatever floats their boat. The only commercial I make an effort to watch is the Zertec commercial of the people stretching in the park. It cracks me up.

They must only advertise on cable, because I couldn't even remember what pantene was before reading the OP. It must be one of those products that has an ingredient list that sounds like its from the anarchist cookbook that I glance at and immediate put back like the zines and ides were already attacking me through the bottle. Some of the stuff they put in those products might as well be their own hormone therapy... ick.

This OP shows such a clear lack of understanding of the transition process for trans youth. Maybe consider researching the topic a little further before posting. It makes you look silly.

 

Giving underage children drugs to change their gender is a hate crime. Male to female or female to male it's their parental units forcing it on them. Kids that young can't be making those choices.

As a natural born male child let me just say I'm glad I wasn't gelded by my parents and raised as a girl. What kind of horrible things are parents subjecting their helpless children to these days? It's not right I don't care what anybody says.

 

They're giving the same medicine we give to cis kids who are going through puberty too soon and delay it to help them understand their body more. You don't have to like it, but any medicine used for trans kids, are for cis kids as well.

 

I looked at my peepee when I was 2 years old and decided I was a little boy. How lucky I was that my parents l didn't have my male parts chopped off and raised me as their little girl. This is such a sick topic I can't believe I'm even posting this.

 

You actually didn't because you don't really have a strong sense of gender until age 6.

And if you don't know the basics, are you just upset at something you don't understand?

 

Sounds like you are comfortable with your assigned sex and gender identity. That’s fantastic! It really is.

The thing is there are a substantial number of people that aren’t. Based on our medical and psychological understandings the best way we have found to help these people is social and medical transition

That isn't anything that actually happens because social transitioning is the first step. Then HRT. No 6 year old is having SRS. The only ones that are are intersex kids because they "need to be either boy or girl!".

If you don't understand, then ask. Otherwise you hurt people in your life more often than not.

 

Just to add on to what @Kranes56 said; not every trans person even ends up having SRS. Many find that HRT and social transition are enough to address their dysphoria.

The very idea that any irreversible treatments are being done at such a young age is silly. Doesn’t happen.

You’ve already been corrected on this matter. You’re being intentionally dishonest.

 

This is the third time you have referenced chopping off the genitals of very young boys. That's quite a leap from the assumptive OP.

 

So six year old males are pleading for their mommies and pops to chop off their man parts so they can be considered as female. I'm guessing many Olympic records will be set as a result.
