My wife gave the majority of it to the Hunger Task Force. She is incensed at the teacher's union for refusing to give in school classes resulting in thousands of inner city kids going hungry for the past year. Democrats and teachers appear to be sociopaths. They certainly don't give a damn about the most vulnerable.

 

I can't believe how many times I have heard this ridiculous argument from democrats.

According to that philosophy, a person goes into a grocery store to buy a gallon of milk. He finds that the milk is on sale and he can save a dollar a gallon. He does not need to that dollar, so he goes ahead and pays full price.

Stupid. Stupid, Stupid.. I cannot repeat it enough times.

 

Funny, the schools in the blue state I live in are providing lunches to students remote learning.

 

Funny, people are delivering lunches all over the county to thousands of students and a teacher cannot come into a classroom. I bet it is not the teachers delivering those lunches.

 

Dead is dead. You can't bring back dead. Dead is forever. I'm not sure what it is about preventing death that makes one a sociopath. I suppose there is a reason that liberals tend to be healthier than conservatives.

Just consider the $5600 as a rebate on the exorbitantly high taxes and government fees you have paid all these years. Unfortunately, the inflation that is coming because of the magically created money is going to lower your net worth WAY more than $5600. So as usual, the self reliant, responsible producers get screwed again.

 

Okay... here is my concern:

Margin buying of stocks is at an all time high, and that influx of "new money" into the market has definitely caused the market to go up.

At some point, that record high margin debt will have to be paid back, and that will be done through the sale of stocks. If a large number of investors decide to take the profits and decrease their margin debt, these record highs may come crashing down at anytime.

No doubt I am nervous.

 

The left keeps making these absolutely insane comments about people on the right wanting to keep them.

Very interesting. Here are some articles on margin debt. Forbes seems to me to be most worried about banks losing money which is a harbinger of recession.

It is a fact that when the conservatives say they don't need the stimulus checks, the left say we should just return them. That is an incredibly stupid comment.

In our city there are a couple of charities that are directed at local businesses specifically, with one targeting restaurants in particular.

There is a new one that just started called "Keep Live Alive", helping music venues.

There are lots of things you can do with your 5600 you do not need.

Well, it is the internet, people make all sorts of claims about themselves. You clearly do not make a lot of money since you qualified for the COVID relief.

I did not realize there was a wealth test.

A married couple can make over $100,000 per year and still qualify. $30,000 will hardly buy a new car these days and we have all the cars we need.
How much did you donate? Apparently you do not make much money and did not donate any at all.

 

There is an income test to receive the COVID relief payments.

$100,000 for a couple is not much at all. My 26 year old daughter makes that much herself, and she has not even finished her bachelor yet.

As for new cars, we bought two in the last 3 years and they were just over 30 grand total.

I do not really know the total, I have not done my taxes yet so have not really thought too much about it. We give as we feel lead.
