Ron DeSantis issues executive order banning 'vaccine passports' in Florida

It's not racist, it's anti poor and old and accomplishes nothing of it's stated goal. Zero.
Who gets stopped by it other than legitimate voters? Since it's only stopping legitimate voters why do you not consider it evil?

Look, you've shown zero evidence a specific state issue ID has any positive effect. I've stated that and why it is a burden for some to obtain. Don't you think it's about time you demonstrate a positive?

 

I really don't care about stores/people/politicians knowing my vaccination status. Vaccinations have always been about public health and safety when it comes to infectious diseases. This is not about individual rights or privacy - its about getting the population of the country through and out of this public health crisis. And if these passports are a way to re open safely and get the country back to economic strength, I'm all for it.

 

This could adversely affect Florida's cruise ship industry. I heard the cruise lines were planning on proof of vaccination to board a ship. If Florida makes this illegal it could force the cruise ships to operate out of another port.

 

That's already happening.

 

And our vaccination records have been kept and referenced for decades. I really don't understand the hysteria.

 

Nor do I! So many want the country to re open but belly ache about bogus issues when steps are taken to enable it.

 

Is there fear of it being popular and accepted by the business world? That's all I can think of. That, or its just mindless opposition to anything this administration does.

I hope Pres Biden takes action against the air and sea ports in Florida, which he has full federal right and responsibility to secure, and mandate that these ports adhere to the vaccine passport system. Gov MoRon DeathSantis has been out to get as many people killed as he possible can, its been his mission since day 1 of COVID. He opposes masks and shutdowns and fought as hard as he could to ensure they wouldn't be utilized by Florida's government, he's sued to prevent localities from running their own cities how they see fit, he's encouraged numerous super-spreading events, and the list of his offenses goes on so of course it figures he'd be opposed to vaccinations as well. The man is just an outright piece of ****, there's really no other way to put it and voting him out is going to be an enormous pleasure.

 

It's not really hysteria like the hordes standing in line to receive an experimental drug, it's simply a principled objection based upon knowledge.

It's not a vaccine.

There are several successful treatments for the infection, and under existing US law, because there is a successful treatment available with existing drugs, no vaccine may be made.

Some are saying it's a violation of HIPPA rules, and they may be right.

Under Nuremberg principles, if you're interested, people cannot be forced to take experimental drugs.

 

Yet Florida is ranked 39th in the US for Covid deaths. Go figure.

Florida's numbers speak for themselves. The idiotic left can no longer claim they are all knowing and you must do (X) to guarantee Covid success. But I do find it pretty funny how the left goes on about super spreader events then try and explain how hundreds of thousands protesting for 8 months in 23 states doesn't count. Its a blast to watch them try and sell that BS.

 

Why would you need to mandate people with the antibodies, who already had Covid, get vaccinated?
How many passports will you need to get from now through eternity every time a virus mutates or every virus on the planet that has a survival rate less than 99%.
Vaccines protect you from nothing. They stimulate your immune system to produce antibodies, just like the virus does.
Oh, wait, are you going to proclaim that a vaccine makes you produce more antibodies than you produce on your own when infected? Its too bad they both work the same.

 

People walk here from Guatemala with nothing but whats on their back, and get a US drivers license. But according to you, 13% of the population, (black) have a large portion of their population that can't get an ID, and they all just happen to be Democrat?

Gov DeathSantis has been busted 12+ times IIRC manipulating Florida's numbers so they simple aren't trustworthy. Even if they were there's just no sense in comparing states because each states when factors of climate, density, transpiration, lifestyle, and others vary state to state. But you're right, Florida's numbers do speak for themselves and what they're screaming is that when Floridians needed a mask mandate and a shutdown order our clueless, inept, ignorant, belligerent, Trump-sycophant Governor said 'to hell with you vulnerable people, Florida is open for business because my Republican mega-donors expect a profitable quarter'.

Oh and I honestly cannot believe anti-maskers are still using that "0.03 micron" Facebook-spread fake news garbage nonsense to justify not wearing masks. The ignorance here is so astonishing it has to be combated on two levels:

Input filtration - That fake news claim took the lowest possible observed diameter which we now know is outside of the mean range, and two it led people to believe that the virus at that size is the only thing floating around being being inhaled. What that measurement describes is the RNA corrupting inner workings of what constitute the SARS-CoV-2 virus. On top of that comes things like its tumorous masses, its fatty shell, and most importantly water and mucus protein spew (your coughing, sneezing, speaking, breathing, output) which the virus travels upon. By the time you add all of this up you are left with a delivery vehicle that can absolutely be filtered by proper masks if you so choose to wise up and wear one suited for the task.

Output filtration - The primary reason for mask participation has always been to limit the amount of potentially SARS-CoV-2 containing spew we each place into our environments. Any facial covering can be helpful with this as the spew is largest as it exits your body. The "0.03 micron" scam has absolutely no bearing on this pursuit.

 

It must be terrorizing to listen to the media telling you to mask up, stay home, regurgitating all those scary numbers except how you got convinced that a virus with a 99% recovery rate was so deadly.
They have you exactly where they want.

 

I'm a high risk person living with a high risk person in a community with what I assume to be a large number of high risk persons. Wearing a mask and being subjected to shutdowns when outbreaks necessitate is a service to my community. Its not only my civic duty to follow these very simple requirements but my Christian duty as well.

 

Polio is endemic today only in Afghanistan and Pakistan, It still exists there because foolish people refused the last global vaccination saying it was a drug to sterilize people.
Small Pox is no more because the whole world was vaccinated.

What does it say about people that refuse a massive, global vaccination that very well may eradicate a killer disease?
