Mexican Cops Arrested For Murder After Killing Migrant Woman With A Knee Across The Neck

    Video at the link

This is very difficult to watch. The woman is handcuffed and not resisting. Yet, three officers stood by and did nothing to help her. I'm glad all four officers have been arrested and are being investigated. Hopefully, they will be convicted.

    What do you think?

I don't really wanna watch it. I think we should just go back to tazing folks. At least when that occassionally kills someone (as any use of force eventually will), its less of an international scandal, probably because its less torturous than many 'hold' maneuvers.

Humans are not perfect. When you send out people to use physical force against other people to enforce laws, sometimes things like this are going to happen.

Also, not sure if it is relevant here but Mexican jails are really not nice places.
Many of you here would likely resist if a Mexican police officer was trying to arrest you and you knew what Mexican jails were actually like.

Years ago, read a story about an American tourist who was held in a Mexican jail for 3 months and he lost 90 pounds.

Mexico isn’t the poster child for anything successful. I mean NOTHING.

I can't watch the video but I tend to agree based on the text. Using a practice designed to restrain people is murder when it is used to kill a person.

It's just like Floyd being the victim of Chauvin. But in this case, I got more confidence in the Mexican justice system. The American system is poisoned by emotions of blue lives matter, where them emotions cast aside facts and opinions from experts. It's a right wing thing.

Sure, but that's perspective based. Aside from the food- cooked and eaten here- I can't find a single redeeming thing about the entire pile. I can't think of one thing that is exclusive to mexico that is of value- to me.

Have you ever tried cherimoya? It's not exclusive to Mexico, but it's most likely where any that you might get, in the States, would have been grown. They are absolutely delicious. If you would trust the opinion of Mark Twain, over mine, he called the cherimoya,"the most delicious fruit known to men." They look similar to avocados but have a very sweet taste, & creamy texture. It is nicknamed, "ice cream fruit," because one way people eat them is by chilling them, then eating with a spoon (it would be the perfect sorbet fruit). They might be hard to find here, though, unless you're in Southern CA.

Changing gears, I just saw a story on Mexico that explained that their leftist President (AMLO), in order to avoid disputes w/ Trump, turned their newly-formed National Guard forces, that had been intended to fight drug cartels (because of which, Mexico's had 34k murders the each of the last two years) into immigration police, to turn the country of Mexico, effectively, into the border wall promised by Trump. Largely because of Mexico, illegal immigration across our southern border fell last year from 100k to 60k. Is that of any value to you?

But BLM wants Chauvin to be found guilty just like you do. Your argument is hard to decipher.

I would try some of the fruit because it has a good reputation.

That said, they really should be doing a better job of controlling their people. I'm glad they are cutting down on illegal border crossings, but that's a little like saying they shot themselves in the d**** a little less.

Did you mean a sh****history? They have a legendary place in the market of sh**** countries. They have constant cartel violence that leaves tens thousands dead every year. Oh wait, you're gonna want a source! Drug related homicides in mexico in 2018 was 33k.

WOW, what an awesome history! Next we can talk about their science and space programs, literature and art, cultural advances, and contributions to the rest of society! They are so awesome, right?

To be entirely fair here, preventing people from illegally trafficking across the border is a form of fighting the cartels.
    Cut off their revenue supply.

When people think of Mexico, their minds jump to murder and drugs. The country is controlled by drug cartels. Police detained Salazar after getting a call from a convenience store. She was acting aggressively under the influence of drugs or alcohol and she appeared “off.” Probably the victim had a mental issue and she had be detained like a violent psychiatric patient, resulting in her death.

The overwhelmingly vast majority of those 40k potential immigrants came from Central America, & were carrying no drugs when they were stopped-- to be entirely fair.

Yes, but to stop the drug runners, you actually have to enforce the border. And once you enforce the border, to stop drug trafficking, it's not all that much more difficult to enforce the immigration aspect - since there are border patrol officers already there.

Anyway, in many cases these human traffickers are bringing in funds for the cartels.

And so? The guy at one point was very alive. And when cuffed and laying with his head grinded in the dirt with 2 people on top of him with their full weight, he dies. No cop op the stand (and there were like 4 or 5) are taking it up for Chauvin. They all say it's absolutely violating their rules, ranging from violating going on with being violent over nothing, to refusing to provide aid to a person in custody... a type of aid he was trained to give. Maybe you're one of them people who think the job security of a cop is more important than the life of a blackman. I do not. So?

You have concluded in some way that I don't think it was murder? I would be interested to know how you took that from my words.

    I mean something like this:

Hardly a day goes by without some gimp going postal in the US. The amount of people locked up in the US, shows the level of sanity there is around. Do note, most violent crimes go unsolved. If the US managed that, the amount of people locked up would be twice as many. It also shows how the army triest to terrorize plenty of other countries around into some kind of submission. The literature and art, cultural advances in the US are a joke. A place like New York got about 100 museums. It really is not impressive compared to London, Berlin or Paris. China and I dunno who ever is just as able to land on Mars. I dunno really what you're getting at besides showing how much of a patriot you are.... like I care.

THAT is "rich" history? After all of that blather you're claiming we don't have nice museums and art galleries?

First let's remember that those temples were used for human sacrifices. They still don't have clean water, a non-corrupt cartel gov, and about a million other hilarious problems.

You must hate the US. We have a quality of life that's better than just about any country. We put a car on Mars, we have massive cultural and medical advances, and you're just being fussy. You cannot be taken seriously for s******* on the US for our history. Don't go to the Smithsonian, it's a waste of your money.
Your entire post is trollishly absurd.
