Take a look at what I'm getting, courtesy of Uncle Joe's Department of Free Money:

Plus a nice fat check for our retirement account from what's left over.

I think I'm going to become a Democrat, I like free 65" TVs with matching sound bars and subwoofers! So what if it crashes our entire country? After all I won't be around to see it. But I will have this lovely Samsung 2021 Q70A and Q60T while I'm still here! Maybe with next year's stimulus I can buy the 2022 version? After all, I gotta have a brand new TV every year, don't I? Oh, wait. Samsung is a S. Korean company. We can't be benefiting those capitalists, what's a good Chinese made TV?

But hang on a minute, what kind of a fool am I? I don't need retirement money, the D's are gonna take care of me with mo mo Social Security, so let's spend the whole thing!

I mean, I probably should use the money to pay my rent, but the Dems have been paying for that, too, so the heck with it.

Now, about that Chinese TV company? Recommendations?
If it's free, it's for meeeeee!!! (New slogan of the DNC.)

Oh, I forgot! Good Democrats always pay their taxes, so how do I get a Use Tax form since they didn't charge me Sales Tax on the soundbar and sub-woofer. I mean, D's do pay all their use taxes, don't they? It's only the scum sucking Repugs that dodge their taxes, amirite?

Didn't Trump also hand out checks?

Hang on a second while I reread my OP.....

Just another second, I'm just making sure.....

Nope, just as I thought. Not a word about Trump. He's yesterday's news, get over him and move on.

No, do you have any Chinese TV companies you can recommend for me? What about the Use Taxes, you do pay your Use Taxes, right? Maybe you can show me how to do it, because as a brand new Democrat, obviously I've never done it before, but I'm certain you have, no? What are you buying with your check?

Buying random things like that can't be good for the economy

Trump and Biden handed out checks for several reasons.
    1. It helps get popular support for the stimulus bill as a whole.
    2. The checks are only a small part of the stimulus bill, and the meat of it is all the other stuff that really helps the economy.
    3. It does help many people who are strapped for cash, I know several personally who have been helped.
    4. Its the quickest way of getting money out there. A check may not be perfect, but it gets the money injected into the economy.

Yes. Stupidity runs both right and left since federal government has both.

What did you buy with the free money you got from Trump? And did you at least thank Trump also? Seems rather rude if you if you didn’t.

The stimulus money I got was just a partial refund of all the taxes I paid the government. For those of us who pay taxes it was our money. For the 50% who pay no taxes it was a gift.

Well, as previously stated, this is not about Trump. He's yesterday's news, and you need to get over him and move on. Second, I spent half of his term in the hospital with sepsis, which turns your memory into swiss cheese, so I have no idea what it might have been. Not all at the same time, but that really makes it worse. I don't even remember getting the prior stimulus checks. But, if I had to guess, it might have been one of these:

    Or maybe one of these:

    Or, perhaps even this:

Or maybe I tapped into my pointless retirement money for those, who knows. After all, with mo mo social security, I sure don't need retirement savings, so might as well blow it all, no?

But shouldn't you be grateful and happy that I'm joining your clan? I mean, I do have ID to use for voting, but maybe I should get rid of that, too. I don't drive anymore due to my injuries anyway. Come on, dude, work with me. I'm trying to learn how to be a good democrat here!!!

A good Chinese TV is TCL. The 8 series is comparable to Samsung's 80 series and a much better bargain.

I'm going to support local businesses with my money.

You should have donated your money to Trump.....of course if you didn't uncheck both the boxes, they would be back next month for another $1400.00, and the month after and the month after.

When the USA owes millions to China we have no business passing out checks. But we will never get our financial house in order because we have reached the point of no return, stimulus checks and foreign aid are the red flag. The USA has to be propped up by borrowing from China.

I don't think in the short term it hurts the economy, but it sure as heck spoils people, and encourages losers to come here.

Government spending on things that are beyond the appropriate role of government always hurt the economy. Wait until you see what your dollar is worth at year's end. Yes I mean this year.

Investing in the American people will do the opposite of "crashing" the country.

Republicans demand austerity for the poor and socialism for the wealthy, and that has been awful for the majority of Americans and for the economy. When will you learn? Maybe after we get the infrastructure bill, eh?

    1. It’s daddy Biden.
    2. Oh no, we’ve heard this argument lots of times now and we’re just not seeing this problem materialize. European countries went into even more debt to take care of their poor by giving out checks every month. Didn’t have an economic meltdown.

You say "When will you learn" as if your party has years of results showing that the poor are better off. The opposite is true. Democrat control is good for the rich and worse for the poor.

They're not necessarily my party, but so far they have the right idea and the right man in the White House. No, Democratic control does not make things worse for the poor. The worst thing that happened to the poor in this country was Ronald Reagan and the subsequent transformation of the Republican Party.

Reagan did some damage here in CA, but currently, CA leads the nation in poverty under Dem control. The gap between the rich and poor here is huge. Government is bad for the poor. Dems are just a little worse.
