I think Biden has actually said he won't be doing that, (though I think he really should) and you have to remember that you can actually RELY on what he says occasionally, unlike the last guy.

The court packing was just a pretext to push for term limits. This way the Republicans will feel like they compromised and won something when agreeing to the term limits.

So we have Senators with 40 years in office setting limits for the Judiciary? Wasn't the lifetime appointments intended to give stability to the law?

It should not matter if law was interpreted based on the intent when it written.

Anyways consistent isn't necessarily good if they consistently rule poorly and inappropriately. Who would be the first justice to have their term expire anyways?

Trump imposed lots of tariffs, and they ended up doing lot of damage. Mentioning these historical facts does not mean one suffers from mental problems. Those economic policies serve as an learning lessons for the future. They are examples of what NOT to do.

    Yes, thank goodness.

I dont expect Biden to accomplish things like that, or much anything else.

So creating American jobs is bad because it is expensive? Cheap imports are the elixir that will insure our future? I could attack the statistics but I don't know enough about how they were calculated to do that. So I will stay neutral about them.

How come 'deals' liberals make always end up with tons of cash leaving America and jobs shifting to foreign shores. Trump was America First. Remember the pallets of cash to Iran? Of course they used them to build solar panels and wind farms for their Green New Deal Ayatollah Style. That **** about bombs and terrorists is just fake news from the Orange Man cult.

Getting government involved in collecting import taxes from US consumer under the banner of "creating American jobs", which end up costing $900 000 per job is not just bad, - its stupid.

But I guess people will support anything as long as you tell them what they want to hear.

LOL. Yep, they say things like that and you'll support anything (and I mean ANYTHING), including 'creating jobs' which cost $900 000 a piece.

Yes I remember the 4T dollar 'infrastructure' bill Trump rammed through Congress to save us all from foreign trade pirates.

He tried to ram it though, but failed. He 'succeeded' in increasing the debt by 8 trillion in only 4 years, which is a record.

Not at all stupid. Firstly, import duties are levied against importers, not consumers. Secondly, if Chinese exports cost enough, it can cause them to be replaced with domestic production, thereby creating new jobs. What is lost is only cheap Chinese products. Rather have cheap Chinese products? That is a different issue. Your OP is about job creation.

......or fail to support anything that goes against their political ideology.

If it really cost that much per job then it wouldn't make sense. But quoting some international study doesn't necessarily make that true. I would say that a majority of things people draw from the internet are nonsense.

Agreed. Unfortunately it doesn't look like that record will stand very long.

Except the steel tariffs didn't add jobs - it cost jobs.
Second time they didn't work. America shouldn't put tariffs on raw materials.

And cooperate taxes are paid by the corporations and not the consumers...right?

Or it can cause them to be made in Vietnam and other countries, which is what happened in real life

The cost is passed on to the consumer.

Which is the whole point of tariffs, to change the options and patterns of consumers.

Not forgetting that it will push the Chinese to switch to higher value products for which the US will be even less competitive!
