Biden Starts Staffing Commision On Supreme Court

One of the most misquoted and misguided statements as you surely can yell fire in a crowded theater and actually have a moral responsibility to do so if there is an actual fire. And even falsely reporting can be adjudicated either way.

The cliché statement was born in the 1919 US vs. Schneck case which was adjudicated on the aspects of espionage and literature and had nothing to do with fires in theaters (other than a phrase from Justice Holmes) nor was there ever binding law involving this statement.

I do not for a second believe the tactics used to fill the seats was trump’s doing. He could barely focus on what was happening tomorrow besides his golf game. Not to sound like a Republican, but this was absolutely “deep state” planning.

How can any of you be surprised after what Republicans did to acquire these seats? While it is true it was all “constitutional” it was not ethical. Democrats are just talking about responding in kind — note, they are not actually doing anything and y’all are still freaked out.

Why should filling a vacant seat upset anyone? The confirmation circus ... that was upsetting. Especiall when a mob of unhinged feminists breached the Capitol ... conveniently forgotten, even though senators were corned and berated and had to be escorted to safety. Amazingly Kavanaugh has remained a centerist, Gorsuch and Barett are centerists too. There's no imbalance on the court, and the premise Joe's going to use for packing the court is going to be "diversity". Joe's already tested the waters, and I guarantee he's done some polling. Joe says the court needs a "black female" justice. That's exactly the pitch Joe's going to use to inflame the passions of his base, and demonize any opposition to the expansion. Y'know Putin, Xi Ping & Maduro didn't come into power by staging bloody coups ... they were elected.

Filling a vacancy is exactly what they did not allow Obama to do. Rushing through a nomination because y’all were about to lose all branches of government was the third and the second retired under unusual circumstances.

Partisan games are boring and extraordinary measures are needed when dealing with an unethical party that seeks power over all things.

"Extraordinary measures" aren't at all justified because Trump's justices aren't playing "partisan games" and SCOTUS rulings prove that without a doubt.

News outlets are reporting that (D)s in the House and US Senate are moving forward with legislation that increases the number of US supreme court justices. (D)s plan to add 4 seats to the existing 9. Biden's commission was purely for show, only a means to preserve Joe's media generated persona. Biden isn't moderate, he isn't interested in unity, he's not going to build back better. Joe is a leftist wrecking ball.

I invite Democrats to consider that a certain degree of inefficiency in government is a control. Biden intends to establish a permanent one party State with one party controlling all branches of the Government on a permanent basis. That is not going to be a good thing for anyone.

Doubtful that the number of of Justices will be changed, so I suspect it's primarily just a "threat" and fullfillment of a campaign pledge to "review the issue."

 

What awards have you won for drama? You are aware before 1889 the SC was changed in it's honor roll of justices several times? Is this the manifestation of founding fathers who are socialist because they didn't say that the SC could only have so many justices for ever?
