If you want. I mean, Hillary being the most exonerated politician in History... she gets exonerated one more time and somebody is going to be looking to canonize her. All BLM did was to prove, once again, that the real opposition to progress in the Black community is the wealthy, Black race hustlers themselves, not the "wicked, evil and greedy White devil oppressors".

 

Everything in politics related to race is about accumulation of power, and has nothing to do with justice. The sooner everyone realizes that, the sooner we can get rid of the race-baiters and begin healing as a country.

 

In that case you'll have to investigate THEM ALL, Democrat and Republican, nobody, BUT NOBODY, enters Congress a pauper and leaves in the same condition, save those who have a one or two term career. Note that Sanders the Socialist ain't done too bad for himself either.

 

I think any money made while a politician except for a set salary that is about the same as a member of the military should be confiscated for the use of the country. Public service should be a time of focusing on the country, not personal gain. That way, the only people attracted to politics are people who truly care about the country, not the greedy bastards that are there now.

I hold the extremists who riot and the leaders responsible. No different than the rioters who stormed the capital, and Trump their leader. The far left and far right agendas are stupid and divisive. They have destroyed any positive message of the moderate left and right. And that is where we are at today.

I consider the far right and far left for what they are - extremists. They haven't destroyed anything for the moderates. Perhaps some narrow minded folks will consider the entirety of the party to hold the same extremist beliefs, but for thinking folks, they see them for who and what they are.

 

Quite right. But you raise an interesting point which can also be applied to politics. If 'Christians' do not do anything about the charlatans, they are equally responsible (in my view). Allowing a liar and cheat represent you and your beliefs will result in your being tarred with the same brush - and there is nothing you can do or say about it.

 

I hold the same distinction, but I think the nation as a whole is becoming so polarized that they are seeing those not in their camp as the enemy, and are more tolerant of the extremists on their side. The tolerance allows the extremists to continue, so the positive messages are drowned out by the negative.

 

Yes, and I think this does apply to politics as well. If you allow your extremists to burn down businesses and loot stores, or storm the capital building, and other similar ridiculousness, then you will be painted with the same brush as the extremists.

 

We also need to look at those from different camps who automatically lump people from a party together with the actions of extremists. It doesn't matter how many times I (and other lefties here at PF) have drawn a distinction between rioters/looters and protesters, we are routinely accused of supporting the extremists.

 

Absolutely. It's hard for polarized people to see the distinction. Haha, I get it from both sides. Half the people call me a communist and the other half call me a trumpster, when I am neither, lol. A "if you are not with us you are against us" mentality has taken hold of a lot of people.

I would go a step further. Just allowing a cheat and liar to represent them, by merely tolerating him, is different than fully embracing him, and acting like he is their savior. The latter is why Christians have lost ALL credibility in lecturing others about morality and doing the right thing. They don't even realize how much they undermined their own cause by fully hitching their wagon to the Trump train.

I get the same thing. Depending on the issue and who I'm posting with I'm either a liberal or a conservative. I mostly get labeled a lib/dem which is hysterical considering I've never actually voted for a democrat in my entire voting life.
