I'm fully aware of Russian nuclear capabilities.

I'm also fully aware that the Russians would be complete idiots to station their SSBNs that close to American territory as it would mean they can be easily destroyed by a wide range of forces based in the U.S....BEFORE they can fire more than a fraction of their missiles.

You mention Minot, North Dakota. Interestingly enough in a nuclear conflict with the Russians it would be an absolute priority target for the Russians, (due to being a major storage site for U.S. nuclear weapons) but even with multiple nuclear warheads striking it the death toll would only be in the tens of thousands.

China's military is third, Russia's is second - although in a lot of aspects Russia is probably first, such as Missile defense, electronics and hypersonic missiles. Let's not forget we use Russian rockets to get to the space platform.

We use (well, more past tense than current now that SpaceX's Dragon v2 is online) a 5-decade-old designed rocket. I'd be curious how much evidence there is that Russia is actually ahead of us in areas like electronics.
The PLAN has two active carriers. The Russians' only carrier, the Kuznetsov is out of commission. The PLAN has 50 destroyers vs 12 for Russia. The PLAN has 49 frigates vs 11 for Russia. The PLAN has 60 SSKs vs 22 for Russia. There are probably a few areas Russia's military is still ahead in, but there are fewer now than there were 5 years ago, and the trend lines are not good at all for Russia.

Arguably the Kuznetsov was never really "in commission".

Yeah, you forgot how many people in DPR have Russian passports to protect them against the Neo Nazi genocide.

By the way, I heard that the head of the neo-Nazi nationalists in Lvov Ukraine died in the middle of a speech a few years back.

What did the guy say, what did the guy say?

Russia spends 1/10th of what we do on defense, yet they are still far ahead in one area that can win a war....hypersonic missiles. In a nuclear war, their **** is so fast and maneuverable that we don't have a defense system (patriot = haha joke) that will be able to intercept them.

This ain't a pissin contest. It doesn't matter if we've got more of this or more of that, what matters is what works and how many do you need to accomplish your goal.

I'm not interested in chest-beating politicians and armchair generals that want to get us all killed because they are too damn dumb to understand the real world as it is. Big mouthed idiots like Joe Biden are the kinds of morons that can get us in a war you don't want to be in.

Russia can take care of its neighbors/we can take care of ours. We don't need to be meddling in a third world shithole like Ukraine.....

 really... you're going to blame it all on Trump  the only problem here is that he is not a globalist, had a good relationship with Russia and probably were not even informed of

    a) the eurodollar's existence
    b) the imminent oil crises

They deliberately sabotaged Trump at every opportunity they got, what they didn't bargain on is that he fared a lot better than they anticipated, despite their sabotage.

This plan have been in place for decades...since they tried to figure out how they're going to hide the fact that they have accelerated the oil crisis with their fiat money and economic bubbles.

    1) steal 2 thirds or the worlds wealth
2.) use climate change to lower economic activity.
3.) create a virus & inject people with technology that we can use to "control" them
4.) create a virus that they can use to lower economic activity to save oil usage (the majority of which are used in international air travel)
5.) then if people do not accept the New world order and loss of their freedom they tip the world into WW3 to try and hide their theft, no one is going to repay the debt...it's just not possible.

This is why they are pushing the vaccines so hard, before people understand exactly how big the threat they are facing is.

You know I think if America send warships into the Black Sea, they should put politicians on it, put Pelosi right at the front so the Russians have a nice bullseye to aim at. Imagine sending American sailors knowingly into this threat...politicians should be first into the Black sea imo

It's not going to be paid for... it's impossible to pay it back, you need oil to generate economic activity...there's simply not enough to service such a monstrous debt. See my previous two posts

The Russians don't have a deployed hypersonic missile system yet.

And in a nuclear conflict they wouldn't make a difference anyway.

Biden deliberately insulted Putin, characterized Putin as a “killer.” Now Putin is all the more eager to “test” Biden.

And what purpose did Biden’s name calling serve other than to win praise from his supporters, especially those in the media?

Trump’s approach was much more effective. He was cordial to Putin personally and demonstrated his intolerance of Russian misconduct through sanctions and by sending Javelin missiles to Ukraine, among other things. The Obama/Biden administration had refused to send lethal aid.

Trump spoke softly and employed a stick. Biden blusters but may not remember what a stick is.

According to this report, Biden is actually withholding military aid from Ukraine that has already been approved by Congress, even in the face of Russian military maneuvers at Ukraine’s borders. Biden will provide only $125 million to Ukraine this year, although Congress has already approved a $275 million package. Trump sent Ukraine $415 million worth of aid in 2019, including lethal weapons, or they would even be worse off.

The rest of the aid appropriated by Congress but withheld by Biden — $150 million worth — won’t be sent until Ukraine enacts reforms that Biden demands.

Didn't Biden try this before, under the Obama Administration?
There were suspicions of corruption. Allegedly money was being withheld from Ukraine with the insinuation that they should stop investigating his son.

Even the serious Left knows that Biden, like so much of our corrupt ruling political class, is amoral, treacherous and stupid enough to make war on Russia and China at the same time.

"This smells of the dawn of the same old. To quote the Who: meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

It should go without saying that someone who advised DuPont on how to avoid regulations is not someone we want advising this new administration."

Russia isn't going to nuke us. Doesn't matter how many dirty, deadly nuclear toys they develop. They will never use them on us.

The problem here is that Russia actually doesn't need air carriers, frigates and destroyers to reach Ukraine...

The topic here is Russian aggression against Ukraine, not something the US has done. There isn't even any reference to NATO.

Russkie dictator Putin is concentrating his terrorist militias on the border with Ukraine. He's probably planning an invasion. :(

Why would you believe the claims by the Russians about their weapons systems?
    1) The Russians routinely way overclaim the availability and capability of their weapons systems. Something that Americans are unable to do because of congressional oversight and inter industry competition.

    2) Historically, Russian (Soviet) missile systems have never worked as remotely as well as the Russians claimed they will work.

You are writing nonsense again. What is the destruction for them and the complexity for us? In reality, there will be destruction for the United States and not the fact that Russia will receive destruction. You read what the Pentagon, the President of the United States, the idiotic American senators and the American media have to say. They all say - Russian hackers interfere in American elections, Russian hackers can destroy American infrastructure, Russian hackers know access codes to US secrets ... and so on. I wonder what access codes Russian hackers know? Maybe access codes for American nuclear missiles? And at X-hour, will all American missiles turn into pumpkins? How is Cinderella's carriage?
And by the way, if you so actively want war with Russia, then maybe you should sign up as a volunteer, for example, in Syria? Where you can show all your patriotic fervor in confrontation with the Russians.

Ukraine is the historical part of Russia. Therefore, the Russians can do whatever they want there. You won't be outraged if US military bases appear on the Texas border. Although historically and legally Texas is part of Mexico and is under US occupation.

Russia doesn't have any effective defense against our Minuteman III's or Trident D5's either. That's what MAD is all about. Hypersonic missiles don't change that.
