Mike Lindell's 'free speech' social media site bans swearing, porn and taking God's name in vain

I don't see the problem(other than "the Lord's name in vain" nonsense).

This message board has the same sort of policy against profanity and porn, It's a matter of basic decency rather than the suppression of anybody's free speech.

I think the moderators of this board do a great job of maintaining decency and civility, while allowing freedom of expression.

There are plenty of forums that suppress the heck out of certain(read: conservative) viewpoints(I'm looking right at you Twutter and Bookface), and, as long as that lunatic pillow guy's site allows expressions of political opinion on both ends of the spectrum, then I don't see the problem.

 

What is my culture? How is my culture different than your culture? I said culture determines what is obscene. If you disagree I can suggest a few experiments for you to try.

 

If one cannot express themselves with out swearing.....find a gutter venue.

 

If there is anything worse than a social justice warrior/progressive speech/behavior policeman, it's an old fogey speech/behavior policeman.

I'm thinking it could be a platform just like this one. I doubt the software fee & hosting is expensive, and the profanity filter here is pretty good. Even our private convos are censored. But sure, trolls are gonna troll and god bless 'em AJ.

If the election were stolen, the people claiming so would be able to provide some kind of evidence. Instead, they get upset when looney (and sometimes dangerous) conspiracy theorists get their content taken down from privately owned platforms and try to play make-believe that this is a rational substitute for real evidence.

 

That's absolutely true. But Lindell created this site because he (falsely) believed that other sites were violating the 1st Amendment by employing similar standards.

 

Well this entire forum seems to be full of them. In many areas you must hold the line on how what you say...not just how you say it. I am for free speech but gutter/septic words are just demeaning to society and there are rules against it here. Maybe you aren't offended. Maybe you are enlightened and woke, but many of us hold the line here.

He correctly believed that other sites were unfairly censoring conservative viewpoints. It has nothing to do with profanity and pornography.

Stop trying to pretend like there's some sort of "hypocrisy" involved.

If you want to see hypocrisy and unfair double standards in action, you need go no further than Twitter, Facebook and Youtube. The lopsided suppression of 1st Amendment rights is blatant on all three.
