Marjorie Taylor Greene Proposes Expelling Maxine Waters from Congress

    Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) announced Sunday that she plans to introduce a resolution in the House of Representatives expelling Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) from Congress for “inciting Black Lives Matter violence.”

    Rep. Greene was reacting too Rep. Waters’s appearance in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, on Saturday night, joining demonstrators outside the local police station angry at the shooting of Daunte Wright by police earlier this month.

    As Breitbart News reported, Waters toldreporters that unless Derek Chauvin was found “guilty, guilty, guilty” in his ongoing trial for the death of George Floyd last year, Americans would have to take to the streets to demand “justice.”

    Hours later, two members of the Minnesota National Guard who were patrolling a local neighborhood were lightly injured in a drive-by shooting. Rep. Greene connected Waters’s rhetoric with that event, calling it domestic terrorism. In a press release, she said:

    ”I’ll be introducing a resolution to expel Rep. Maxine Waters from Congress for her continual incitement of violence.

    Rep. Waters is a danger to our society.

    Rep. Greene is right. It is time to remove this instigator of violence from congress. She has been promoting violence, riots, and disruption of people’s lives for 30 years now. She crossed state lines to incite violence in an already tense place.

    They were just "hugging and kissing" them with bullets, ala Tramp saying his NAZI rioters were "hugging and kissing" the capitol police with clubs.

    Anybody can propose that anybody be expelled (at any time).

    Big deal.

    It takes a 2/3 vote to Expel a Member.

    She'll spend the next year denying she incited the inevitable arsons. Just like she denied encouraging the mob to get in the faces of (R) congressmen and senators wherever and whenever they encountered them.

    Too bad the local DA & states AG are cowards. Doesn't take an act of congress to arrest someone for inciting a riot. Just credible evidence to support the charge ... like the video.

    She should be stripped of her committees just as Greene was but the Dems won't discipline their own. It's a just a symbolic gesture expressing disgust at Waters' dangerous rhetoric.

    They punished Greene for stuff she said before ever running for congress while Waters crossed state lines to incite an already angry crowd as a long term current member.

    Her resolution will probably be just as effective as California Rep. Jimmy Gomez's was in getting Taylor Greene expelled from congress.

    The FBI gets involved. Minnesota's state attorney general is Keith Ellison so there's not much chance Maxine's going to get arrested and charged by local or state authorities.

    It seems those like you seem to forget all the speeches delivered to the rioters and insurrections on Jan. 6, 2021 before the illegal breaking into the Capitol.

    This request for expulsion might have some credibility if it had been requested by someone other than Marjorie Taylor-Green.

    I haven't forgotten anything. You're propaganda outlet of choice must've edited out the portion of Trump's speech where he reminds everyone to peacefully exercise their right to protest at the Capitol.

    I do not like any politician, what ever party or race they are etc, to publicly incite violence, no matter what the cause. There is a trial, there will be a decision made through the court system in place. Whatever decision is made, the judge/jury should be respected. If there is a disagreement with the court's decision, there is an appellate system in place. Waters, Trump and many others want to get up and run their mouths for their personal gain. I have no problem with the action, except that it's proposed by a person I don't think even deserves to be there, except she did get elected. (Greene) Greene=Trump=Waters, mantra different, method the same.
    In these cases, less is more.
