I thought it was about choice. A true choice is to add the healthy snack machine next to the others and let the customers decide for themselves what to buy and eat.

Seems the left doesn’t want people to have a choice, if there is a possibility that the people will make a choice the left doesn’t agree with.

So they aren’t so much encouraging better choices (as they see) as forcing them. That is the nanny state left for you. The right likes to control abortion, but the left wants to come in your home and say “no we don’t like this, we want you to live like this.and while we are at it, can you open your gun safe so we can tell you if we agree with your gun purchases; as we think your personal, paid for property is our ****ing business.”

 

So does Coca-Cola and fried chicken. Wanna ban those too? Hell, the ever-wise government should just force us to eat and drink as they see fit.

Smokers have basically added a tax to my health insurance for decades ... they can't seem to help themselves from
putting others at risk when they smoke. Same with alcoholics and driving. So why not add tax to products that cause
abnormal rates of injury to others? Or we could tax nothing and pretend that everyone is an angel and will pay for
any injury they cause society.

Health care rates had been rising for 50 years prior to Obama, it's incredibly ignorant to think that they wouldn't have continued to rise
with or without Obama Care.

Mine rose because of Obamacare.
And there's a little thing called "inflation" that generally causes the price of goods and services to increase over time. A burger and a coke is no longer 15 cents, either.

So how is your objection to paying for someone's medical treatment of smoking-related illnesses any different from my objection to paying for food, health care, and housing for someone that chose to drop out of high school, sire babies out of wedlock, and not work?
