Anthony Fauci Ignored Email from Physicist Claiming Hydroxychloroquine Could Help Battle Coronavirus

Nielsen, in the email, said he had instructed members of his family to get “Alvesco (ciclesonide) for emergency use only.” He claimed that his “colleagues on the front-line in Japan, China, and Korea found several pre-print papers, that it is an effective treatment for late-stage COVID-19 patients.”


The physicist continued, “Some patients on ventilators who were approaching death have fully recovered after treatment with ciclesonide,” noting “ciclesonide has much smaller particles than other corticosteroids, so it reaches deeper into lungs and alveolis.”

Neilsen claimed there was a second drug that could possibly be used, which he advised his family to get. He wrote to Fauci the drug “is called hydroxychloroquine,” which he said, “also seems to be effective and safe.”

However, he noted, “Alvesco is better because it appears to prevent the virus from replicating so infection is wiped out and no longer contagious.

It is no surprise that he ignored that e-mail. Too much money to be lost without creating new drugs. How many Americans had to die needlessly because we weren’t using existing therapeutics while waiting for the vaccines to arrive?

 

How many died because it was more important to discredit a drug because Trump saw promise in it and getting Trump to look bad was more important than a couple hundred thousand lives.

He didn't ignore it, he forwarded on to someone else, presumably a colleague who could read it and determine if there was anything of relevance in it. I suspect people like Fauci receive loads of unprompted emails from random strangers and I wouldn't expect them to read them all, especially ones as sprawling and rambling as this. As it happens, there doesn't seem to be any concrete information or evidence in that email, just lots of claims and speculation. I very much doubt there was anything there that the people whose jobs it was to investigate those areas at the time wouldn't have already been aware of.

 

Fauci actually stated Hydroxychloroquine was successful.

 

More like thank goodness for the Freedom of Information Act for exposing these nuclear bombshells... Without it, we'd not know the depth of Fauci's deception and ineptitude.

Also props go out to Senator Rand Paul. He's the guy who told us that Fauci was a fraud.

 

Id say that the most damaging email from Fauci are the interactions with the gain of function virologists that both show he knew what the Wuhan lab was doing and who was doing the work. It looks like he still believes in gain of function, but actively worked to conspire to keep that set of facts from both the public and then developed policy that optomized the consequences of the breach from the lab.

At this point, he's a ghoul at best, and perhaps the worst example of human experimentation ever witnessed in history.

Fauci worked during Trump's administration. Why would he want him to look bad?

According to the article, the use of hydroxychloroquine was used in patients with late stage COVID.

At that time, the WHO did not agree.

Beyond that, I do not care for Fauci at all so I'm not making excuses for him. He has continually changed his opinions on everything in every direction. However, on this particular issue, it looks like he was following the science as it pertains to how and when frontline doctors' observations seem to show promise. In other words, it's highly likely that he received countless emails from all over the world. Do you propose he should have immediately jumped on board to recommend that all of them should be tried (with no additional research or larger test groups?) in the general public. That would have been disastrous.

 

They would not have cared if it was 200 million lives.

 

In some people it was, it others it did nothing. In actual clinic test it was pretty much a push.

One of the things that made COVID so hard to treat is that what worked for one person made the next person worse. There was no magic bullet that worked for everyone.

 

Where did I say I was a fan of Ron Paul? Dude you be wack on that one.
