    Disturbing.

Whistleblowers Explain How Biden's Woke 'Extremism' Training Is Tearing the Military Apart

On Thursday, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) revealed the reports of many whistleblowers inside the armed forces who have complained that the military’s training to combat “extremism” has enabled superiors to push critical race theory (CRT) on them. This has set members of the military against one another and led some soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, and guardians to resign.

Cotton pressed Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on these issues, asking Austin to explicitly condemn some of the conclusions of critical race theory, such as the idea that the military itself is “fundamentally racist.” Austin begrudgingly rejected that idea, but his responses suggest an unwillingness to actually combat CRT in the military.

The article went on to give specific examples from the hearing which were, in my opinion, very disturbing. When I first joined the Army, the only color they cared about was green and the military was probably far more advanced in race relations than any other sector of society. Now it seems like they are throwing away all of that hard earned experience to try to replicate a college campus hothouse of grievance. I'm not sure you can have an effective military force that is tearing itself apart on these issues.

I still remember when a gal in one of my units in 2008 one day snapped at her Corporal, and basically told him to frack off, she was not going to do any work for him. She was fairly new to the unit, and she declared that the Corporal was "racist". She was sent to the 1st Sergeant, in the hopes that some "gentle guidance" would help educate her that was not how things worked in the Army. However, the Top was from Louisiana, and she declared he was "racist" also.

So she was sent to see our Sergeant Major, who was also Black. After 10 minutes he ordered her out of his office, and started the paperwork himself for a Field Grade Article 15.

Of course, it did not help her case much that both of those Soldiers she accused of being racist were married to Black women, and had mixed race kids. I still remember the pride of our First Sergeant a few months later when his oldest son came to visit. A Senior at the Coast Guard Academy, and about to get his commission. But the problem was, she did not know any of this, she heard their "Southern Accents", and simply assumed they were racist.

In fact, during my last 15 years, by far the majority of 1st Sergeants and Sergeant Majors I served under were Black. As were a lot of the best NCOs I served under starting in 1983. Whenever anybody tries to point out that the military is "racist", I ask where. Because I was occasionally called "Chief"? That is just the coarse sense of humor most of us have, if I had objected I have no doubt it would have stopped right away.

That reflects a lot of my experience as well. Lot's of senior NCO's were Black, preventing anything like the "systemic racism" that Critical Race Theory assumes.

It is "Right Wing", and therefore by default it is all lies.

And of course, places like AlterNet and TruthOut are perfectly fine, unbiased, and 100% factual in what they report. :roflol:

What people fail to realize when I do things like call a site into question, is when an article is automatically believed 100%, without question, or when using it as a "fact check" when the bias is obvious in the reference itself. Or like one a few years ago, where a guy who spent 10 years as an investment broker suddenly became a "military expert" overnight in reporting on things military related.

Now, do I believe the article is "factually true"? Yes, actually I do because I have seen similar things in the military for years. However, I also see the "spin" put onto it in the reporting, and dismiss the spin in order to make up my own mind.

But to be honest, they have been a target for "The Left" for decades now. Heck, that is even how they got their name, after they broke the real documents behind the "Bush National Guard Service" report on 60 Minutes, and showed that many of the documents that 60 Minutes presented were actually fakes.

In the fallout of "Rathergate" in 2004, CBS News executive Jon Klein dismissed the work of Charles Johnson and his team, saying :

And in response, Johnson named his then starting organization "Pajama Media".

Well this story would be easy to fact check, it quotes Congressional testimony, so if those were faked, it would be easy to prove. I think the poster simply wanted to dismiss the topic.
