Twitter temporarily suspends Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for vaccine misinformation

Twitter on Monday evening temporarily suspended Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene after she shared misinformation about Covid-19 and vaccines, a company spokesperson told CNN.
The Georgia Republican, who has a track record of incendiary rhetoric, will not be able to tweet for 12 hours due to Twitter's policy against people who repeatedly share misinformation.
The social media platform had labeled two tweets from Greene as "misleading" in recent days. If she continues to share misinformation about Covid-19 through her Twitter account, Greene could be suspended from the platform permanently.

first, since Twitter isn't under any fairness guidelines then they can do as they please. Since Twitter likes posts from Democrat voters and suspends opposing viewpoints, they can do that. This makes it a non story

What Twitter did and what CNN publicized are Greene's comments. Her comments probably got more attention because of the ban and CNN needing something to bang her with.

When, Greene's posts were STILL visible on Twitter?

It sounds to me like those "threads" (which you referred to) "across the internet" were based on misinformation and shoddy research.

Here's what I have a problem with. 609,529 deaths out of 34,174,774 cases but (as you said) 6,000 deaths out of 338,491,374 vaccines. You do the math. MTG and Republicans and Fox News don't give a rat's ass about the public. They only want votes. They only want power. Bet she's vaccinated. All this talk about freedom of choice and freedom of speech by them is total BS. Like someone said, she got more attention about this than the post itself. THAT's what she cares about. That is exposure, which means money, which means getting on Fox or podcasts or whatever (so give me a break about "freedom of speech") which means ratings for all which means MONEY.
