Senate Democrats propose requiring women to register for military draft

What does transgendered have to do with anything and why is it even in there in the first place? When called in a draft to serve your country you are what you were born and that is how you will be treated. I feel like a woman is not an excuse to seek special treatment.

 

Nobody in the military upper echelons wants to see the draft return. It's defeated most of the nations that have used it. It defeated us in Vietnam and nearly defeated us in Korea The only time it ever works is like in WWII when everyone supported the war anyway and it was just a way to enable people who had big familial obligations to join along with everyone else. In WWII people lied about their physical to get ACCEPTED in the military.

 

Does this upset you?

 

No reference to gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation should be sitting that selective service law. Women, gays, lesbians and transgenders have all sought to be included in military service and not discharged from military service based on their gender, gender identity, or orientation. We should grant them that right, and then oblige them to all register under the selective service act.

Asking who can serve in what capacity in the military is not a question for the registration law to answer.

 

I spent 20+ years as an army infantryman. I held every enlisted leadership position in an infantry company, from team leader to 1SG. I would never want to lead soldiers who did not volunteer of their own free will.

 

You register, male or female as you were born. If you are called you serve male or female as you were born.

 

So you would not have wanted to lead in WW2?

 

I wasn’t thrilled with combat. I think WWII in Europe’s would have been tolerable other than during the winter. I’d rather fight the heat vs frostbite.

 

Here's a compromise:
How about when a woman turns 18 she can choose between 2 different life courses. One of them makes her eligible for the draft, the other she is not allowed to get an elective abortion.

It would be cosmetic. If we ever had a war with Russia or China, it'd be nuclear and the size of our forces would be basically irrelevant. Any other nation, our all volunteer military could handle that in the conventional sense. We may have to call up the reserves and perhaps some national guard. The draft is a thing of the past. WWII, Korea, Vietnam. All long over with. No draft was need since then.

 

Sounds 'right in line' with Victoria's Secret Cover girls being their 'Cover Trans'... HEY, when it comes to private enterprise & entrepreneurship - OK - I don't like it ~ but carry on, it's America...! & God Bless...

Here's an Idea, lets send women over the proverbial 'wall / trench' & then have x 3 red-blooded, patriotic / nationalistic, testosterone driven young men go over after her after she gets a hangnail on the gravel covering the berm... Then after all x 4 of them die we can pontificate on why there was not a transvestite in the mix to fix the whole death spiral...

 

For the purpose of this statute, you don't register as male, as female or as transgender. You just register. It is totally irrelevant to the registration process. That's the whole point of both of our positions on registering for the draft. Any gender or gender identity can be useful to the military and none should be exempt from any legal duty to serve. It really first matters what your gender or gender identity is, when the military needs that information, and that will be when you are taking your physical.

 

For one thing (Kate Jenner / Bruce Jenner) - a famous Trans that we are all aware of... admittedly identifies as a woman, but is still attracted to females sexually - what do you do with that... ? Do you want your young female or adolescent child in a dressing room or spa with a male ******* hanging out & being paraded around by an obviously genotypic male "identifying' as a phenotypic female... & do we always know their motives or their sexual predilections...?

(BTW) If I still lived in CA I would vote for Kate / Bruce Jenner in this recall...

I think 3rd wave feminism has given rise to a dangerous extent of = 'izing the sexes - (I think that we have more than surpassed the men in higher degrees of education).

The military men that I know would - WITHOUT A DOUBT - react differently in the field of actual battle with a female... If you doubt me on that, get out of your mother's basement & talk to some military men - past and current... Biden hasn't totally sissified our military just yet...

There is zero need to 'compromise' about registration for the draft when there is no draft, and if there were, that compromise would have zero to do with abortion which has no connective tissue with selective service registration or military policy.

As I said, I do not support war at all (wages by any gender) but I suppose some people (like you) support war.

War is part of the human condition that is waged by government, not men. It can be eliminated if only we eliminated government, which is a dystopian belief and is contrary to all logic and reason.

But war is a unifying principal among Democrats and Republicans. They love that military-industreal complex!

I am a firm believer that Men instinctual, inherently possesses the power & 'grey matter in the brain' capacity to snuff another life out - for the 'greater good' - or Not. Men are inherently & innately possessed by greater muscle mass and seemingly a brain that can go through the horrors of war in a way that a woman's brain is not intrinsically wired to (unless meticulously trained)...
