Nancy Pelosi rejects two GOP members selected for 1/6 committee

    House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday rejected the appointment of two Republicans who objected to the certification of the November election, Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio and Jim Banks of Indiana, to the House select committee that's investigating the January 6 insurrection.
    Pelosi said in a statement she was accepting three of the five Republicans named by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy earlier this week, but she would not allow Jordan and Banks to serve on the committee.
    "With respect for the integrity of the investigation, with an insistence on the truth and with concern about statements made and actions taken by these Members, I must reject the recommendations of Representatives Banks and Jordan to the Select Committee," Pelosi said. "The unprecedented nature of January 6th demands this unprecedented decision."

    What a GREAT move by Pelosi.

    Rejecting a couple of Delusional Grandstanders from the Committee.

    Jordan and Banks are undeserving of that platform, and Nancy (as expected) put them in their place.

    I'm not her biggest fan, but great call. The only purpose in selecting Jordan was sabotage.

    I don't know as much about him, but I don't doubt it. McCarthy will probably try putting forward a few equally lunatic suggestions just to have those rejected so that he can play victim. He had said he would testify about his call with Trump on that day if he's subpoenaed, but I'll bet he backtracks on that fast.

    She appointed a republican herself, and she only rejected 2 of McCarthy's nominations, at least one of which would have been guaranteed to turn the entire thing into a lunatic clown show. She's made a lot of bad decisions. This isn't one of them.

    It's actually a great move. Pelosi gave the excuse to ignore the committee as a partisan exercise, so the GOP is no longer going to play along. So when the "report" is issued, it will simply be another partisan hit job.

    The GOP rejected the bipartisan committee. Pelosi appointed a republican as one of her choices. McCarthy made a bad faith recommendation.

    Jordan is my representative and a fine man. He has great character and is very knowledgeable of the interests of his constitutes. He visited our local manufacturing facility interested in what would help us and our capabilities. He does what an elected official should do.
    I wonder what Pelosi is worried about? Could it be Jordan is outspoken and won't cower under democrat pressure? Can u say sham investigation?

    There is no "bad faith" recommendations. WTF kind of propaganda insanity is this? Do we get to judge Pelosi's recommendations... they are some whacked proven scumbags.... but it's her choice. What we see here is more Authoritarianism by the Left.
