In my opinion, just one false accusation is enough to destroy a man's career. The problem is Presumption of Guilt. Of course most women are not false accusers. But no man can afford to risk his career and reputation.
Probably not fair but that doesn't exist in our society. The risk of "harm" lies in the fact that men are often protected (by a patriarchal society) and women are vilified when things go off the rails. Until we can stop pretending the hierarchy or gender and race doesn't exist, this will always will be an issue.
Sadly in Western Society 2021, accused men are presumed Guilty. Misandry is much more common then Misogyny in Mainstream Media and every kind of Social Media.
Without some proof, I can't say one way or the other. I've personally never had any issues dealing with men or women.
Everyone is presumed guilty until they can prove their innocence. That's how our "justice" department works. FYI...I take exception with your constant use of the words "most" on every topic you start. You don't know *most* of the people in any category you are speaking on behalf of or you have not presented that information in such a way to set the basis for those opinions. This is a very myopic approach to analyzing the true statistical data of the information you present. I don't believe you are being intentionally biased but it is a strong contributor to your positions and not one that can be fruit-producing.
Fortunately you have not been -- accused and presumed guilty -- a victim of Domestic Violence treated as perpetrator Not everyone's experiences are the same.
Problems can exist both ways. Many men don't deal well with a woman in a higher position, or providing them with information in a workplace. Some women feel the same way. Of course, being 'uncomfortable' for either gender is quite often a perception, rather than a reality. And that no amount of professionalism is going to correct it.
We SAY our justice system is "innocent until proven guilty." That's not how it actually works in real life though.
false accusations can ruin lives should it be this way in a perfect world, no, but sadly it is the world we live in a manager being alone with an employee does carry risks
Being sentenced is unrelated to be presumed guilty. You can see examples of this in the posts by Trump apologists. They claim that he is *innocent* (which is different than "not guilty) because he's never been sentenced to prison. He has a decades long history of breaking the law and has had judgments to pay restitution for some of those actions. However, he IS presumed guilty of things he's never been charged with (for example, he wasn't named in the Dominion lawsuits along with Mike Lindell and Judy Giuliani). He's just as *guilty*. Those of us living in reality know he's slandered them as much, if not more, than Lindell and Giuliani have. Absence of conviction doesn't negate that.
No scientific evidence. I have generally read that Scandinavia and Canada have much much more humane Justice Systems then USA, but I could be wrong.
