My name is Frank, and I am a aspiring Journalist. I am currently 33 yrs young. (I had a longer entrance but meh, wasn't worth the need I felt) Thank you for having me, and I hope to read and learn somethings here. I guess I could be considered a "Conspiracy Nut", but that's really not a thing anymore as a lot of those "Conspiracies" ended up becoming truth ! Again thanks, and I hope to get some good research out of this place
That you will do, but as always fact check anything you find on the Net deeply and be able to link to references if needed. Also with the Net be careful with sources that use references that are circular, that is to say they point back to referenced by the same writer or group offering the opinion, it is very common now a days for like thinking groups to used each others references making it look like that real when in fact they are all made up agenda driven hogwash.
(Always! ) Thank you Never thought about that, and I guess in essence never really paid attention but that really makes sense and will be something I keep track of ! Thank you. I appreciate the help.
Can I ask, how did you end up finding this forum? From what I've seen, this forum has disappeared from a Google search. (Or at least has been deprioritized down so far it's not even visible on the first page)
Hello Frank, Enjoy your youth while you've got it because getting old (70+) is not for sissies. I won't go on about my Gallery of Maladies from a life lived fully if not always wisely but I will say that I think you'll enjoy it here. I've learned quite a bit here as debating demands that you do research. Don't worry about being accused as a "Conspiracy Nut" because it says more unflattering things about the accuser than you plus the truth really can be stranger than fiction: To quote a line from Shakespeare's "Hamlet": "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.” Good Luck & have fun...
Don't worry about being accused as a "Conspiracy Nut" because it says more unflattering things about the accuser than you Disagree. It's shorthand for "your opinion is paranoid and unsupported by observable, demonstrable facts or reasonable conclusions based on fact."
On the other hand, there are many things that were commonly dismissed as "conspiracy theories" that turned out to be true.(*) Galileo and Copernicus were just two other men that were widely dismissed as crack-pots yet their conclusions were truthful.
