Never watched the TV series the first time although the movie with Smith and Lawrence was great. Never really been into reality TV shows. Never watched Survivor, Amazing Race or any of the talent/singer type shows. I watched Masterchef briefly but then loss interest when I found out level of staging. I have watched a few old episodes of Kitchen Nightmares from the early 2000s on Youtube. They are entertaining but it is very formulaic.
I love that show. I always watched it with my kids and pointed out how ignorance of ones rights often leads to arrest and self incrimination. "I would love to talk with you, officer, but my father would kill me if I did that without him and our attorney present."
I never watched the show, but I do recall a lot of people being upset because the wrong type of people were committing the crimes.
Taught my oldest what to say to the cops: I want my dad or a lawyer Then what do we do? Shut the **** up what’s sad is how often cops don’t know the law or don’t care
All cops know the law when it comes to questioning and searching. They know how to trick people into giving up those rights.
There’s a YT channel that shows OIS from body cams and other cameras. It’s much more interesting to watch, and you get to see a bad guy get what he wanted in the first place.
I'm sure they've cleared all that up or they wouldn't be allowed back on the air in the first place. The reboot is going to look like a home alarm commercial; nothing but White criminals.
Nothing wrong with this show following cops when they do their jobs. Not sure why the opposition started.
Don't know why, it'll probably get the required PC paint job and be as unbearable to watch as anything else on the tube these days.
WOW, that was surprising! After following years of your posts, I often wondered about that!!! I guess children can learn a lot from the TV
He’s never seen the show. I was commenting on doofs point about not knowing ones rights. Sadly cops often don’t know, or don’t care, about them either.
I never watched the show but one time when my daughter was dating a police officer and some of them were having a boxing pay for view party we went and they were watching it before the fight came on. It was pretty hilarious watching and listening to THEM critique and slam the criminal and what they would do etc etc etc. BTW the fight ended about a minute into the first round with a knockout...........ROFL......glad I didn't pay for it!!!
The best cop programs are these first amendment auditors. Basically they film in public and wait for the cops to come and see if they know the law. Most either don’t or don’t care.
That, and ALL gays and lesbians being depicted as so pure and noble of heart that one expects a chariot of fire to swoop down and roll 'em into Paradise.
