A zygote is not a rooster ... nor a cucumber .. nor a dead human ... not being these things does not make it a living human.

What a zygote "might be" - least according to Biology - is a single human cell. a living cell !

Slippery slope is still a fallacy. General lines can be drawn, and I draw it at the mind (about same time as viability) and others I disagree with have long drawn it later. Neither them nor I have slipped down any slopes. But many situations are unique, e.g. discovering a fatal congenital defect late.

    .

Today's evil degenerate cultural marxist society reminds me of the description of ancient baal worship in the classic "Halley's Bible Handbook" [see quotes below.] THIS was the evil false "religion" of "baal" that Bible history says sinful Israelites would abandon the God of their forefathers to worship and God would severely punish them. Don't think it can't happen here... it already is happening.

Temples of Baal and Ashtoreth were usually together. Priestesses were temple prostitutes. Sodomites were male temple prostitutes. The worship of Baal, Ashtoreth and other Canaanite gods consisted in the most extravagant orgies; their temples were centers of vice...

... In excavations at Gezer, Macalister, of the Palestine Exploration Eund, (1904-09), found, in the Canaanite stratum, which had preceded Israelite occupation, of about 1500 B.C.; the ruins of a 'High Place,' which had been a temple in which they worshiped their god Baal and their goddess Ashtoreth...

... Under the debris, in this 'High Place,' Macalister found great numbers of jars containing the remains of children who had been sacrificed to Baal. The whole area proved to be a cemetery for newborn babes."

Another horrible practice was what they called ‘foundation sacrifices.’ When a house was to be built, a child would be sacrificed, and its body built into the wall, to bring good luck to the rest of the family. Many of these were found in Gezer. They have been found, also, at Megiddo, Jericho and other places...

... Also, in this 'High Place, under the rubbish, Macalister found enormous quantities of images and plaques of Ashtoreth with rudely exaggerated sex organs, designed to foster sensual feelings...

So, Canaanites worshipped, by immoral indulgence, as a religious rite, in the presence of their gods; and then, by murdering their firstborn children, as a sacrifice to these same gods.

A human living cell, exactly what a human being is designed to be at that stage of development.

You keep on repeating the same circular fallacy - just in different ways - aka "Assumed premise fallacy"

In order for a Human to Develop - a human first has to exist - and you have yet to show that a human exists.

Human Development - and "Development of a Human" are two separate things ... try using the word "Creation" to perhaps lessen the confusion.

Do you think a soul exists at conception ?

In the realm of God,iIndependent from and prior to the human brain. Must be hard to understand for someone who thinks the physical world is all there is.

For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.

I believe the same - Not sure who those folks are ... but suspect there are not many.

2 more questions follow .. 1) is there such a thing as "a human" without a soul ... I claim no 2) when does it arrive ?

Not much point in the soul arriving prior to the brain wiring being complete .. "I think therefor I Am" or "I drink therefore I am" .. depending on if one is a fan of Monty Pyton.

So when you die .. the soul then goes back to the heavenly abode.

When you go to heaven .. after Rule # 1 is explained to you which is "No Praising the Most High" das ist verbotten .. and you have caught up with everyone on what a interesting time you had on Earth .. you may wish to take another vacation ... Millions of planets to choose from - and you can see what is going on on the million reality TV shows..

The rule about vacations is that you won't remember your past life - while on vacation.. So you choose your spot "Earth" - Human .. you go to sleep .. and when you wake up . . you remember nothing .. but are now on vacation.

When is the most logical time for the soul to arrive ? as you can't "Wake Up" until the wiring of the brain is complete .. at which point the brain lights up like an xmas tree .. can see it on the monitor .. and this is termed "Significant Brain Function" ... the lights are on .. and someone is home. "I think therefor I am"

Even science is gradually coming to understand this.

    https://www.rcpsych.ac.uk/docs/defa...dnewsyouarenotyourbrain.pdf?sfvrsn=42288db9_2

As Chopra and Tanzi point out, it has proved impossible to construct a theory of the mind based on material objects that somehow became conscious. Brain activity is not remotely the same as thinking, feeling or seeing.
In The Brain That Changes Itself, Norman Doidge writes, ‘While we have yet to understand how thoughts change brain structure, it is now clear that they do.’ By putting consciousness first, Hoffman’s theory removes that mystery. The brain does not change itself; it is a ‘user interface’, put in place by consciousness, and constantly changed by consciousness.
Hoffman points out that the theory is consistent with some interpretations of quantum physics, which claim that definite physical properties of a system do not exist prior to being observed.”

In other words noplace, which is very convenient for things that aren't there.

There was a man upon the stair
A little man who wasn't there
    He wasn't there again today
Gee I wish he'd go away.

Even electrical fields exist someplace. Or rather they are manifestations of other things have actually have a physical existence, like chemical compounds in batteries or moving electrons

Time itself does not exist if there in Space

But time and space do exist. The God of the universe created it.

I can't answer that, I suspect God has always been, never wasn't. But I'm a man of faith and I'm OK with mysteries I may never know the answers to.

I don't think they are "coming to" -- this is where it is comming from .. - as soon as we started glimpsing into the sub-atomic realm - things changed - then relativity - quantum mechanics... read a book called Mysticysm and the new Physics 3 decades ago .. .. Well .. then later I took a 4th year quantum chemistry class .. did all the founding fathers ..

I can show you things in nature - in the area which I work - microbiology that would make you go hmmmmm .. such as quorum sensing in a biofilm .. millions of bacteria acting in a synchronized fashion.

These are not ducks flying around .. with fully developed brains .. these are organisms that have no brain .. yet are acting together like a flock of geese .. or wasps building a nest...

but as per chopra .. it is not impossible to show how material based objects became conscious .. obtaining consciousness is built into the system ... you can not assume randomness .. and that is simply not how it works anyway. ... so all these "The probabiity of so an so " is nonsense ... adding a constraint that is not there in reality.

We see forces in nature that go against entropy .. think of it like the tendency of a fart in a corner to spread throughout the room ... order to dosorder.. in nature we see the reverse happening - energy going from less concentrated to more concentrated..

What ever nature is doing -- it is following rules - not all of which we understand but many we do.. it is not random .. some things are random .. but when you analyze chaotic systems you find order cropping up out of nowhere in places .. Fractals and other patterns .. which simply should not be there if the system were truly random.

I'm okay with mysteries too, maybe even more than you. I see no need for Inventing a transcendental and unknowable entity to "explain" the beginning off everything. In this I very much agree with Father Georges Lemaitre, the Catholic Priest who first originated the Big Bang Theory of the Universe.

If you don’t see a need to invent a transcendental God then don’t. I didn’t ask you to invent anything. You asked me a question and I answered. You seem to be making a big fuss over nothing.

We're discussing the morality of laws that coerce women to have children because God would disapprove of eliminating them, are we not?

Here's Kathy Tran, the Author of the bill, Virginia Democrat. She clearly states that her bill allows for killing a baby while being born.

    At about the 1:25 mark.

Okay let us get past this idiocy that women would go through nine months of pregnancy and THEN a decide they need an abortion

    upload_2021-9-26_10-18-22.png

1.3% of abortions occur after 21 weeks

Do you know how many severe foetal anomalies incompatible with life there are? It is not far off this statistic.
