Okay... I had thought that was an excellent counter-point given the general claims made in the initial pleadings, but I'm shocked that a Democrat has finally made a decent point. Kudos. My argument has been that the OP is lying causing this absolutist Democrat assertion that Conservatives are lying about the union's opposition to vaccine mandates is completely false. Based on the percentage of people that haven't gotten the shot, there's definitely pilots that don't want the vaccine. I think the vaccine mandate is one primary issue among many others, but it certainly could be used as a bargaining chip. However, I don't believe the Democrat media will provide anything other than misinformation regarding this issue. There's thousands of stories of workers and unions protesting the vaccine mandates, and I haven't heard about it in the Democrat press. The point you just laid out is one I've heard on Fox News and other conservative sites.

The connection to vaccine mandates would seem more coincidental given that Biden has pushed OSHA to require businesses with +100 to mandate vaccinations within their companies. This was around August or September.

Yes. We are talking about a Federal Mandate. There's Federal and State mandates on government workers and contractors. Biden has also said, "I’m instructing the Department of Labor to require all employers with 100+ employees to ensure their workforce is fully vaccinated — or show a negative test at least once a week." Companies are mandating vaccines cause they have government contracts, and they don't want to lose any current or new contracts, nor do they want to be penalized for violating requirement about employees with 100+ employees. OSHA has already been tasked with setting the rules and penalties ($14,000 per violation) that will be enforced, so companies are attempting to get in compliance before that time.

These issues are multi-faceted. It's incorrect to absolutely assert that this has nothing to do with vaccine mandates, because there's plenty of business owners that have made changes in preparation for those rules. The government won't just enforce a mandate without providing fortune 500 companies with a warning.
