True, but you didn't made that distinction when you were confident that marriage, universally, was a religious thing.
You don't have to acknowledge it nobody cares. nobody does you're not a victim. how are these people in your face are they knocking on your door are they waiting for you outside of your house are they following you around do they harass you at work do they make phone calls to you if anything in your face at all at any moment? this is what's known as a conspiracy theory when you think a large cabal of people are out to get you or out to hurt society of large. This is exactly the same thinking expressed by BLM who have convinced themselves there is a white supremacist around every corner. that's your opinion and it's okay you're allowed to have those. again you're entitled to your opinion.
The only reason not to use the word marriage to describe same-sex marriage is to pay lip service to people like you and why should anybody why would you want that? Sounds a bit like you're upset about cultural appropriation. Are you an sjw?
You have to have a legal argument in order to deny rights to others. I have yet to see one made. List is a few.
Absolutely not but one would need to justify why a separate system is needed especially seeing that that separate system as already been banned in many places.
Thing is, hardly anybody sees this issue as a "mess" to begin with. Same-sex marriage now has an 84% approval rating as previously discussed. That number is likely only going to go up from now because younger people just don't see what all the fuss is about. It's all but dropped off the map as a concern even for self-styled "conservatives". The real question is why create an actual mess when that's completely unnecessary just to placate an ever fewer pool of people many of whom probably wouldn't be around to see the result of that even if it ever happened?
So,I am now. If you wanna comment about happenings in another country and how that affects American law, you can do so.
First, I don't care if my religious mores are included in American law. Second, marriage wasn't the best way to give same-sex couples all the rights and responsibilties of marriage but courts had to become the bull in the china shop and go off half cocked (half authoritarian). Why do you feel the need to inform me of your personal sex habits?
There's one biggie: One doesn't need marriage to be given all the rights and responsibilities of marriage. (2) Many people object to the term same-sex marrriage. Same-sex describing gay marriages is like using the term dwarf giant to describe certain types of stars, for example. The giant star and the dwarf giant are of different radiances even though for the time being they are of the same size just like same-sex marriage and traditional marriage are separate but equal institutions.
For the 20th time, marriage like unions were banned in dozens of states Muslims object to women not covering their body, should we listed to their religious beliefs? Except they are not separate but equal institutions. In astrology, there is very specific requirements for the labeling of celestial bodies. A law, if you wish to call it that. Not based on peoples feeling, or their beliefs, but on data and observation. Both same-sex unions and opposite sex unions, are a legal union. A same-sex union, for instance, is 100% identically situated as an elderly or infertile opposite sex union. Why should they be called anything different?
So you acknowledge the fact that marriage, as a concept, isn't universally or even inherently a religious institution?
the only reason not to call same sex marriage marriage is to pay your lip service why wouldn't anyone need to do that why would you want that? I haven't.
I said nothing at all about my person let alone my sex habits in that post. Maybe you're just ultra-sensitive. That's why you think things existing is it being shoved in your face. You sound like a perpetual victim or an sjw
