So another cousin has died from Covid. From that same branch of the family tree. That is two in a week.

I found one of those once in Ragland Alabama. It has a leaf something like a marigold. Dug it up....took it home ..... and lost it. Never did figure out what it was.

If you don't get it very often it's lovely at first but if it sticks around it's a pain in the arse because we're not properly equipped to deal with it. Not enough snowploughs and gritters etc.

I am saving the seeds to see if I can get it to grow again. The foliage on the plant is healthy looking.

    Thank you, thank you.
That is it...you nailed it. Our plant grew about 8 feet tall. The plant took its time about blooming, when it started blooming there was quite a show. One of the blooms is yellow with an orange edge around the outside of the bloom. The next time I plant them they will get staked, two fell over because of high winds. The bees, bumblebees and butterflies are busy enjoying the plants.

Thanks but I am about as cautious as one can be when it comes to COVID. Not going to this one and only barely crossed the threshold to the last one.

Make sure you but in extra support under that tub. I was told if you have one installed, they basically have to reframe that whole section of the flooring to hold it up (which isn't included in the price they quote you) because the weight on those things when filled can exceed what normal construction standards account for.

It is a shame so many of your relatives are passing away. You have to be very cautious about COVID. Almost everyone can say they know at least one person who has passed away from it. Just stay safe.
You were right about the Cosmos.

[IMG] @Collateral Damage this is the October Daisies that grows on the roadsides and in ditches. October is the only time you will see them bloom and they are gorgeous.

Technically an annual, but I have had it come back the next year, from seed. Anywhere it wanted to, lol.

That is gorgeous! I love roadside 'plantings'.

Each spring when I clean out my seed supply, including some I collected from things I've grown, I bag them up and as I drive down the road, some unattended fields and ditches get a donation.

Have you ever thought about making seed balls? There is a Lady in Texas that makes seed balls to throw out on roadsides.
In this part of the state the roadsides, ditches and woods have plenty of October daisies. The wild ageratum is also blooming along with the daisies,
