Texas Sen. Ted Cruz said Texas could secede from the US if Democrats "fundamentally destroy the country."

Cruz was speaking at an event at Texas A&M in October when an audience member asked him about his views on Texas seceding, also known as "Texit." Cruz said he wasn't "there yet" when it came to the question of whether Texas should secede, but said he understood the sentiment behind the secessionist movement.

Things already HAVE become hopeless and I support Texit 100% - I hope I live long enough to see it.

 

"if things become hopeless?" ted is probably the most hopeless american (or is he canadian ? we have. if texas secedes again frim civilized nations my recommendation would be to give him command of the alamo. when his troops die to the last man he might be in cancun.

Sorry to somewhat deflect from the topic, but I for one would be in favor of having all Red and Purple stated Capitalistic Republicans/Conservatives secede from the union as an intelligent move to separate them from the Blue state American hating Socialistic Marxists.

 

Democrats would lose funding for all of their absurd spit-in-America's-face policies because they would have to pay for them, themselves...

 

I'm only suggesting that the dividing of Capitalists from Marxists would result in there only being two nations. Any so-called Independents, Libertarians or Green Party enthusiasts et al would have to make up their own minds as to which nation best supports their particular ideology(s). You would have to admit that there is this huge political/ideological divide in America today, where there looks like there is no chance in hell that the two factions Republicans & Democrats will ever agree on anything, and thus, the chance of further hatred and violence against each of them continues to grow unabated.
