I live near the border to France. And I remember that after the 13th of November that year all the French borders were heavily guarded.
Lots of police and soldiers everywhere.
    Understandable!

Yes, I had enough luck to not loose any family/friends in that. It brought a lot of stress, sadness.

After 6 long years, the trials are happening right now.

I didn't remember the November 2015 Paris attacks, but then I don't even remember the last thread I read, so...

So, here we are at the anniversary of those attacks, but who remembers it? Am I the only one not to remember?

    Probably not.
But I think some here will remember that 13th of November in Paris.
    Maybe only Europeans remember?

I remember the attack. It is not something that really surprised me though. We have seen enough attacks in the US on high density soft targets that it is just another one from my perspective. Perhaps to the Europeans it was more shocking because they think they are insulated from gun violence like happened with the nightclub portion of the attack. What I will say is that you Europeans are idiots for allowing so many Muslims to come in in the name of "humanity" or "human rights" or whatever else without some very extensive investigation of these people. This is one issue where I am squarely on the conservative side with in the US. The democrats can scream racism all they want, but the "radical right" aren't people who supported Trump. It is the people they want to roll out the red carpet for because it gives them the feel goods to be "enlightened".

No the terror attack was big news in the US, but only briefly. After Charlie Hebdo it seemed obvious that Europe was simply going to absorb these attacks and pretend like they were like a natural disaster, no apparent cause and no way to stop them, so, oh well.

To me those attacks have shown that despite his numerous flaws, my people has some real kindness. What was the first reaction of the french people : declaring "no amalgam" or "you won't have my hate".
I'm not sure that the first worry of all people around the world would have been that people who share the religion of their murderers don't suffer any kind of ill placed revenge.

But to me those attacks still killed something. When France won the world cup in 1998, there was the dream of the France "black blanc beur" (black white arab : the english word black is often used for french people to avoid the french word "noir" for black as people are often annoyed fo speak of the color of skin of people, beur is a slang term for arab. The whole expression mimic the term "bleu blanc rouge" blue white red). French ideal around race was race blindness or the fact that there is no real races.

Many thing since 1998 destroyed slowly that hope and with the increasing economic difficulties, I doubt that tensions will be appeased.

The scars left by those attacks are very deep for me. And then the other followed, truck attack in Nice and many other. Some attacks just targeted some women barely out of childhood. What kind of maniacs go around the street killing young girls with a machete ?

Since then I red about prophet Mohammed life, the violence and barbaric nature of his life horrified me. Those attacks seems the logical conclusion of taking this killer for an example.

Part of the everyday Islamic terror in Europe.

While politically correct people are saying all the time, that there was no such thing as "Islamic terror".

Also the New Year's night 2015/2016 in Cologne comes to mind.
    More about that night later.

Or does anybody remember yet without a link to it?

I guess you'll just have to take my word for it that I didn't Google it, and am just going off of the top of my head: These were the multiple sexual assaults by "refugees" against German women...right?

And now those same groups have Afghanistan in which to organize and train for and execute new such acts. I'd not be surprised if they strike there or in Europe first.

"Maybe those events were hardly noticed in the US?"
