She hasn't said she wants to. Will the obscure constitutional amendment have any affect? Would you vote for her:

Frankly what qualification does she have beyond knowing under which mattress is the most money? Of course that would make her a shoo-in for the vice-presidency...;)

I don't believe that even the most low info voter would be stupid enough to vote for her.

But then again look what we have today in office...

In the link provided one of her breathless biographers called her "....the embodiment of the American Dream." . Soooo....that's now regarded as "Strut, pout, put it out.."??? :D

So the American dream is now to be a home wrecking, social climbing, gold digging opportunist.... I guess that sounds about right... For a certain personality type.

Which makes her different to every other candidate in recent memory from either party how exactly?

Not saying I want her to run BTW (I have no real opinion either way actually) but knowing where the money is stashed is more or less politics 101 for anyone running for prominent public office in the US.

I think a contest between her and Melania Trump would be interesting.

I can't see her as a serious candidate but she does have attributes Democrats love in a candidate.

I think the standards completely collapsed after Trump became president. Trump becoming president was once a Simpsons joke, and then it actually happened and it was a facepalm. I can say she would do better when it comes to decorum than him though... then again, I could say the same about a steaming pile of ****. I really don't know enough about her to know if she'd do well otherwise.

If she ever were elected I think we as a country would be morally bankrupt to ever accept the wife of a prince from the family fought to rid from this continent.

Well they're not a monarchy anymore. And they're one of our closest allies. Republicans want to forget slavery happened but not move on from the revolution? I don't think it's a disqualifying factor in this case. If she were so closely associated with one of our true, present-day rivals (mostly China or Russia), that would be different.

They’re a monarch democracy. They still don’t believe in the freedom of speech or the right to bear arms. Democrats always find a way to sling racism around even when it has nothing to do with the topic, so your comment does come off surprising at all, nor does the fact you support them. We can be allies without their blood in our politics. F the crown

She's American-born. Their monarchy is ceremonial. Not something I really get either, but they like it and it has no real law-making power. They're truly a parliamentary system.

I'm not really a big race person, I just find it funny that you guys want to move on from slavery, but not the revolutionary war. Britain is very different today than then. They're not ruled by a mad king, e.g.

Americans don't really even agree on what the right to bear arms means or what the exceptions to freedom of speech are. I mean money is speech here. Bribes (oh I mean campaign contributions) are treated as speech. So clearly we went too far with that one anyway.

It’s in our constitution. It’s not about agreeing with it, it’s already been ratified. Both of which has a documented history of original intent when it was ratified.

Well considering that SCOTUS isn't always unanimous, and reverses/revises prior precedent, it's more murky than you imply. Original intent, lol. Yes, good thing they accounted for the need for a well-regulated militia. Though they were wise enough to know things change and allowed an amendment system. What they didn't anticipate is the 2-party system that has been incredibly dysfunctional and divisive now and in the 1800s particularly.

I'm pretty sure that the Windsors (Coburg-Saxe-Gotha) was not the royal family of the British Empire back in 1775-1783.
