I think the fact that this document defines "Whiteness" alone indicates that this is a racist document - racist against white people that is. This seems to be straight up CRT with a slight bit of repackaging. No doubt paid for by money people thought they were giving to charity.

My family has donated $100 per month to the Salvation Army for years. Now that money will go to another charity.

    It looks like it.
I have not read enough about it, but it seems that once again old white men are seen responsible for everything that is bad in this world - and old white men alone.

Oh its most definitely CRT. Not even repackaged.

    From your link:

Both books are based on CRT.

    Sounds racist to me.

Isn't this what is considered as "tokenism"?

There are of course other things that show how idiotic this is but not going to waste my time.

    That's exactly what it is.

If you need to 'make a brown friend' deliberately, it means one of two things: You're a white person who doesn't give a crap about race, but who just happens to live around mostly white folk. Or you're a white person who claims to be worldly and inclusive, but you can't even fall naturally into relationships with people who aren't exactly like you.

If you don't have any brown friends, you sure as well want to be in that first category.

"Take a personal inventory on race and discuss it with a friend. If you engage a trusted Black or Brown friend, please make sure they have the emotional and mental capacity to handle this."

This one did my head in.

There is no context where asking something like this isn't pure narcissism, and some seriously power-grabbing BS.

"Hey, Token Black Friend, let's sit down and talk all about me. Let's talk about how I can improve the signalling of my anti-racism chops, and gain stuff for myself via a demand for your fragilities".

There aren't enough four letter words in my vocabulary to express how sinister this is.

@Kal'Stang there's two you missed that I think would NOT have been a waste of your time:

Now let's consider what the SA considers racism:

See what they did there? There's no need for POC to lament their own racism because they can't be racist - by the SA's own definition, BE racist. Sorry whitey, it's all on you. And I've seen some pretty bad racists that come in all colors. Not the SA though. So the entire basis for the conversation is flawed as POC do not have to lament, repent, or apologize for anything. Also, it's only whites who need to develop steps to grow as POC don't need to at all.

I've said it before, I'm not white, but frankly, I almost wanna try to pass as one (might need some makeup) go up to a SA official, and tell them what freakin' idiots they are. CRT, indeed. I'm trying to think of a way white people can really piss off the SA and all I can think of ATM is to suggest anyone passing a SA person ringing a bell say "Sorry guy - I'm Jewish. The Salvation Army hates me even more than they hate whitey!" Kinda looks that way, sorta? You'll get bonus points if it turns out that particular SA bell-ringer is a fan of Illhan Omar or AOC. If anyone else has any better suggestions, post 'em here.

I just realized - Sammy Davis Jr. was Jewish, right? I guess anyone of any race can pull that one off on them. I'm gonna try it.

I used to stuff some bills into the 'kettles' when I was about a bit buzzed and feeling the holiday 'spirit'. That STOPS NOW.

If I'm just some despicable White creep, then they sure as hell don't want MY money... and they damn sure won't get any more of it!

It's not just that this BS is discrimination of whites .. what it says about their attitude to non-whites is horrifying.

I'm printing these out to keep a couple in my wallet and if they have their bucket out in front of the store will drop one in.

The Salvation Army evidently seems to think that it has to jump on some kind of farcical, illusory "RACE" bandwagon, when in reality, all they really need to do is put up their donation buckets, have a person wishing everyone a "Merry Christmas", and ringing a hand bell!

The practice of asking people for donations to support worthy causes is not (NOT) some kind of big, bug-eyed "RACE" situation, and nobody with any sense would try to turn it into one! Hypothetical question: does it ever occur to 'woke' hyperliberals that not everyone in the world thinks that the sun, the moon, the stars, and everything else revolves solely around their perceptions about "RACE"?! :eyepopping:

It's a white supremacist thing. They don't like the encroachment of the brown folk, and are doing whatever they can to keep them separate and 'down'.

Then I wish them happiness with their upcoming "Black Xmas", Kwanzaa, and whatever else they choose to enjoy. Life's way too short to have to be all pissed-off and butt-hurt during a universally celebrated 'holiday' season.... :xmasrudolph:
