As do I. And, nothing I said was hateful or should breed hatred if the reader is mentally stable.

I am pretty sure that most Christians would find this very offensive.

Just because something is offensive, doesn't mean it's hateful. One of my neighbors smokes marijuana. I get a headache from the stench and find it offensive but I seriously doubt he's smoking it because he hates me.

As the self-appointed spokesperson for all Christians, what else do you want to pitch?

you can keep saying that, but your wrong, to you that may be what the holiday is about, not to everyone

seems some wish to be selfish (scrooges) and try to make chistmas a christian only holiday, but this is America and that will never happen - christmas is for everyone that wants to celebrate it - peace to all and hope everyone has a great christmas this year, no matter what they believe

When I sing "The Unicorn Song," it in no way indicates that I believe in unicorns.

    Cheers!

I understand there is a cultural significance in Western society especially in the US for Christmas and don't have a problem with atheist celebrating it it's just I'm pointing out you are celebrating the birth of Christ.
No actually Halloween traditions are from Christianity. Halloween is actually All hallows Eve which is why there's the hollow part of Halloween.

But again I get its cultural significance and that atheists can celebrate it too the only thing I'm saying is this is a Christian holiday.

I'm saying it because it's correct that is what the holiday is about. That is the only reason you celebrate it. If it wasn't for Christianity you wouldn't have any idea what it was
I'm not saying Christmas is only for Christians people of any religion or no religion at all can celebrate it all I'm saying is if you do you are celebrating the price of Christ because that's what the holiday is that's the only reason that ever existed.

Yes but if you celebrate Christmas you are celebrating the birth of Christ that's the whole reason that holiday exists that's the only reason you get off of work. That's not speaking for you that's stating the truth.

I only celebrate xmas because I have family members who are still religious. They expect gifts and are generous, so it's just a tradition. Personally I'm agnostic and find all of it hilarious, but to each his own. I even keep quiet while others seem to be casting spells over their food for some reason, I'm a ******* sweetheart like that.

There's probably a lot of us like this.

That's good the only reason to disrespect somebody with regard to the religion is if they're being pushy with it. Being a Christian I will do this to people. There is a whole array of different types of Christians and I am persona non grata and a lot of them. But if they're polite to me and they're not trying to convert me or preach to me we're good.

that is what the holiday may be about to you, it's not what it's about to everyone

the holiday existed long before Christians, they just renamed it and the name stuck

they tried to do the same with Easter, but the Pagan name stuck

Plus, all evidence suggests that Jesus was born in the summer. They didn’t just confiscate the name; many of the Pagan traditions as well.

no that's what it's about it's all it's ever been about you can pretend it's about something else but that's just pretense
No it didn't the holidays started probably several centuries after Christ's death but it was about Christ. Yule which was the celebration of the solstice existed before Christians but that's not what you're celebrating you called it Christmas.
Easter is the Christian name. The pagan name was Ostara.

lol, you can't force your ideas of what a holiday is on others, and no, the holidays existed long before Christianity

    https://www.beliefnet.com/faiths/pagan-and-earth-based/2000/04/the-goddess-behind-easter.aspx

"Eostar is the goddess of dawn and new beginnings. Her name is similar to the word for the Christian Easter, because that holiday took its name from the ancient pagan goddess of spring and rebirth. Another name in the same family is Ishtar, the Babylonian goddess of the morning and evening stars. And let's not forget Esther, the Jewish queen whose story of courage is celebrated at the spring festival of Purim."

It's not my idea, I didn't invent Christianity or Christmas.
The pagan holiday was called Ostara it was celebrated on the equinox.
