Anyway, back on-topic to Smollet, I think he is a Complete Idiot for pursuing a Trial.
When everybody knows that the Prosecution has a Slam-Dunk case against him.

He is a pathetic needy media whore who will do anything to stay in the spotlight.
Which is how he go into this mess in the first place.

 

I can see people getting inflamed over a news story where the evidence is ample. But you didn't have that here. You just had a really screwy story: Trump enthusiasts were walking around in the wee hours, freezing cold, wearing Maga hats and looking for a black gay person to harass? A noose? Two Nigerian friends essentially confessing to co -conspiring to this circus? How would the perpetrators have even recognized Smollett in the dark? Presumably he had a coat and hat on.

On the other hand, those of us who believe Smollet's story a scam should let the jury deliberate and return a verdict. We don't want to act as prematurely and injudiciosly as did Kyle Rittenhouse 's detractors.

But this is a really hideous offense. By persisting in his plea, he is still worsening our race relations, or trying to.

Thank God for Dave Chappelle.
