Link that, I've watched many videos of the insurrection and never seen one instance of the Capitol Police using force other than to protect themselves or attempting to stop insurrectionists from accessing the Capitol.

I guess I'd need to know about that; the crowd was attacked by the Capital Police? I hadn't heard that.

You do understand that many of these people were arrested during the end of the Trump administration

The same thing I say to leftist protestors, counter protestors, and passers by. If people start breaking stuff consequences will be had. If you don't want any part of it don't be part of it. If the cause is important enough that you want to be involved then you get to deal with the consequence.

You might get shot, you might get hit with a rock, you might get pepper sprayed, you might get arrested, you might get stomped, you might get filmed and arrested later. These are things that happen when passions get high.

Good, I'm glad you don't. You must just be distracted when reading some of my posts before responding and trying to understand a definition on occasion.

I'm an American patriot all the time.

Do tell, are you as zealous about the incredible property destruction, pilfering, assaults with injuries of civilians and police resulting from the antifa and blm riots? How about their insurrection by designating autonomy in segments of cities, then closing off their "borders," then guarding those borders with firearms? (Boy, they sure had border security!) How about the duration and number of riots? And lastly, lest we forget, the incidental losses. If so, I guess I just missed them. Certainly, you could site a few.

    Thanks

    insurrection
    noun

    /ˌɪnsəˈrekʃn/

    /ˌɪnsəˈrekʃn/[countable, uncountable]
    1. insurrection (against somebody/something) a situation in which a large group of people try to take political control of their own country with violence
P.S. As I've stated before, the assault on the Capitol
    building was wrong and terrible.

As a life long Republican who twice voted for Trump, I don't feel sorry for any of them. They are a major embarrassment, marred our character and history of obeisance to civility, and sullied Trumps successful Presidency. Obedience to the law is a cardinal rule to Republicans. They accomplished nothing other than provide a convenient excuse for the perpetual lawlessness of the left.

That because the DOJ only released cherry picked portions.

You should read my responses AND the links I provide; then you wouldn't be confused. For example, the 2020 protests that turned violent were a small percentage of the total protests; there's a link to that.
Most of the violence was instigated by radical anarchists from across the political spectrum, not BLM or ANTIFA; there's a link to that. The insurrectionists WERE armed with many deadly weapons including firearms; there's several links to that. You've cherry picked that insurrection definition, try this one from Merriam-Webster:

    insurrection
    noun

    in·sur·rec·tion | \ ˌin(t)-sə-ˈrek-shən
    \
    Essential Meaning of insurrection

: a usually violent attempt to take control of a government

    https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/insurrection

Your OP is about January 6th and the attempted coup to keep Benedict Donald in office, not every violent occurrence from the past.

Certainly if you're going to make the claim that the Capitol Police instigated some of the violence you MUST have some supporting documentation.

So, if you think your political opposition wants to strip your faction of its constitutional rights why would you want to set a precedent for them doing exactly that to you?

So you support the inhumane treatment of the 1/6 remand prisoners?

This is what I say regarding 1/6 prisoners:
They are a wet dream of every politician – poorly educated, miserable, gullible who instead of thinking - follow their leader.

How do I know they are poorly educated? Because even half educated people know that breaking into the Capitol singing ‘hang Mike Pence’ is a violation of the US Constitution.

Why miserable? President Trump is a billionaire, recently raised over quarter of a billion dollar in donations – how did President Trump help these poorly educated, miserable, gullible people? Did he help them financially to hire a lawyer? Nope! He told them – “we love you, you are special”.

Why gullible? Because they BELIEVE that President Trump has election fraud evidence, but over 50 judges (some nominated by President Trump), William Barr (nominated by President Trump), Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, both Republicans, vice president Mike Pence, the US Supreme Court and some other people are too stupid to understand there was election fraud.

Not all those links are MSM, but what does that matter, you didn't read them, so how would you know.
I forgot, Faux News is so much more reliable.

Here is a list of Trump's accomplishments. They are too numerous to wade all the way through.
