Cheese and Rice! Did you watch any of the video reports? The insurrectionists were violent outside, inside and every where in between. And armed to the teeth everywhere they went.

Take 40 min. and educate yourself on the violence the Capitol Police were up against that day.

I endeavor to write clearly and concisely so that my words are not misinterpreted but did poorly with this sentence: “The 1/6 rioters were not armed, but some of the ANTIFA and BLM rioters were.” Its first clause was referring to those who rioted in the Capitol Building. Its second clause was referring to participants in the ANTIFA and BLM riots. Also, when I said “armed,” I was referring to carrying one or more firearms. (Practically anything can be a weapon.)

There was and is misleading, false, and contradictory information out there about 1/6. For example, immediately after 1/6, the police officer’s death was widely attributed to an assault with a fire extinguisher. It was later reported and confirmed that he died of natural causes.

I read some of the links in this thread; bias was evident upon their scrutiny. Sentences lacked pivotal details or qualifiers, and there are still old and inaccurate reports of the incident online and references to court fillings yet to be decided.

Bias resides in both right-leaning media and the more prevalent left-leaning media: Discerning the truth is often difficult. Usually, the truth is somewhere in the middle. I doubt we will ever know precisely all that happened on that terrible day.

Note* I have yet to see one left-of-center person acknowledge the gravity and tragedy of ANTIFA and BLM riots.

At least 9 people have been charged with possession of firearms. I've read that at least two off-duty law enforcement or former military carried their weapons into the Capitol Building, I am looking for that link. Most of the 2020 rioters that had gun charges against the were white supremacist counter-protestors, exemplified by the rioters that entered State Capitol's brandishing their guns.

I really don't understand the significance of whether they brought guns into the Capitol Building or not; the insurrectionist AbsaByGodLutely brought firearms to the Capitol; along with pipe bombs and enough ammunition to shoot every one of OUR elected officials 5 times. But, to claim that the insurrectionists were unarmed, when they had everything from pointed poles to high-powered tasers, including hammers, baseball bats and rebar, is totally disingenuous.
