but I do consider it to be unusual that a similar number of beasts were sacrificed by King Solomon on the day of the

we humans tend to undervalue what we have purchased.

There is a psychological study about why people who were part of a university fraternity that had a really difficult
initiation ritual tended to be happy with that fraternity.... but
fraternities that had an easy initiation ritual tended to have members who were less happy with that fraternity????

Is it because after we pay a high price in one form or another we tend to appreciate something significantly more????

The Bible is a very complex piece of literature and it is easy to get confused when reading it.

Some of the Bible stories were oral and some were written on various manuscripts but they were not an unified collection, i.e, a book. When Islam came into existence, Uthman established a committee which wrote the Koran around 640 AD. The Christians didn't have a book and the Muslims were starting to run wild. So, the Christian leadership saw the need for their own book of propaganda and decided to create one. They decided to write it in England, far from the marauding Muslims. They raised a large herd oaf cattle for the vellum to write on and they assembled a committee of story tellers, writers and artists. By the early 690s they had completed three master copies, each weighing about 75 pounds. They were written in Latin and beautifully illustrated. One copy still survives. There is no legitimate earlier copy of the Bible in any language on this planet.

The story tellers based all of their stories on one or more of the real Ten Commandments. So, if you don't know what they are none of the stories make sense. It is important to know that none of the biblical stories teach morality. They teach complete obedience and total loyalty to the Boss (God/the emperor, chief priest, king, family father). The various genocides were included so that the Christian priests could inspire the troops to slaughter the Muslims without a second thought because God approved such actions.

The Adam & Eve story is about what happens if you disobey orders and collaborate with the enemy. The Bible as a whole is just a military code of conduct for civilians.

The only major character in the Bible who did exactly as he was commanded to do was Noah. He was given an apparent impossible task to do and he had no idea how to get it done. But he got to work and did it without whining. When it was all over he killed lots of the animals he had saved and roasted them and got falling down drunk. But he never whined. Even the Jesus character whined and he was supposedly a superstar.

When you read any of the biblical stories you should be able to identify which of the real Ten Commandments the story is about. Some stories show the positive consequences of obeying and others show the negative effects. But ALL of the stories are based on them. The stories themselves don't have to make logical sense because they are mainly mnemonic devices.

I think it is silly to believe other people's ethnocentric religious fairy tales. It is like Inuits in the 18th Century believing in the Arabian Koran. They had nothing in common. Even the Bible says that you shouldn't believe in Jewish fairy tales.

Is the chickenpox vaccine immoral? If older people get chickenpox they can die from it. The point of all vaccines is to promote heard immunity and to protect the entire population from the disease.

 

Liberals believe in 'multiculturalism' and if you believe in multiculturalism, you believe there are no objective truths like sometimes it's ok to abuse a child. On the other hand, if you believe it's always wrong to abuse a child under any circumstances then you believe there are objective truths and therefore, you do not believe in multiculturalism.

Moreover, since liberals believe in 'multiculturalism' they believe all cultures are relative. Like a culture in Africa that practice female genital mutilation is equal to cultures in the west that do not.

There are actually Feminists who defend female genital mutilation in countries in Eastern Africa.

Multiculturalism trumps women's rights in liberalism, apparently.

Fortunately, Feminists in the West care about the really important things though like how females are portrayed in make believe video games.

Older people can get the chicken pox vaccine. Also, the chicken pox vaccine is not as dangerous and has had much more testing than the covid vaccine. You obviously need to study up on the risk factors and the making of these new vaccines.

 

How many people around the world have gotten the various Covid vaccines? That is a very large group that has been tested across all kinds of ethnic groups in all kinds of conditions. Although the time period has been relatively short, would you have rather let the virus run wild and just tested 100,000 people over 20 years before vaccinating billions of people?

 

In other words they rarely criticize it

 

Not all old people can get a chickenpox vaccine, especially if they’re immunocompromised. The Covid vaccine is safe. Again, vaccinations are about herd immunity and protecting the population from a disease. If nobody is getting vaccinated, you do understand that a disease will run rampant? And if the disease is allowed to run rampant, it can evolve and become harder to treat with medicine and harder to prevent with vaccines.

 

I disagree if Christians want the vaccine they should get it.
