Edward Snowden???

So what do you think of Mr. Edward Snowden's reasoning process?

Do you think that he sincerely felt that he had to do the exposure of what was going on?

Do you think that he might even have been partly correct as to why he did this?

One of my big problems with what he did is that USA, CIA and NSA agents in foreign lands, (nations who are clearly against democracy), would die... due to his actions......
If I had been in his position I don't think that I could have done what he did.....
but this is an interesting interview.

I went with "Yes" in the poll so far....
it is obvious that he took great risks to do the leaks that he did and
I suspect that he sincerely felt that he had to do this for the future of the earth.

Personally I do believe in a utopian world coming....
and I cannot judge him..... he knew far, far, far ,far more than I can imagine knowing?!

4. The Future of the U.S. and the World
Because of my fear of a nuclear holocaust I asked if there was going to be a nuclear war in the world, and they said no. That astonished me, and I gave them this extensive explanation of how I had lived under the threat of nuclear war. That was one of the reasons I was who I was. I figured, when I was in this life, that it was all sort of hopeless; the world was going to blow up anyway, and nothing made much sense. In that context I felt I could do what I wanted, since nothing mattered.

They said, “No, there isn’t going to be any nuclear war.”

I asked if they were absolutely sure there wasn’t going to be nuclear war. They reassured me again, and I asked them how they could be so sure.

Their response was: “God loves the world.” They told me that at the most, one or two nuclear weapons might go off accidentally, if they weren’t destroyed, but there wouldn’t be a nuclear war.

I then asked them how come there had been so many wars. They said that they allowed those few to happen, out of all the wars that humanity tried to start. Out of all the wars that humans tried to create, they allowed a few, to bring people to their senses and to stop them.

Science, technology, and other benefits, they told me, had been gifts bestowed on humanity by them – through inspiration. People had literally been led to those discoveries, many of which had later been perverted by humanity to use for its own destruction.

We could do too much damage to the planet. And by the planet, they meant all of God’s creation. Not just the people, but the animals, the trees, the birds, the insects, everything.

They explained to me that their concern was for all the people of the world. They weren’t interested in one group getting ahead of other groups. They want every person to consider every other person greater than their own flesh. They want everyone to love everyone else, completely; more, even, than they love themselves. If someone, someplace else in the world hurts, then we should hurt, we should feel their pain. And we should help them. Our planet has evolved to the point, for the first time in our history, that we have the power to do that. We are globally linked. And we could become one people.

I can only hope I would've done the same in his position. Our govt is dangerous, but never more so than when exposing how dangerous it is.

One of the reasons why I have to have some sympathy for his decision is a documentary
entitled "The Corporation."

The Future of Food has been a key tool in the American and international anti-GMO grassroots activist movements and played widely in the environmental and activist circuits since its release in 2004. The film is widely acknowledged for its role in educating voters and the subsequent success of passing Measure H in Mendocino County, California, one of the first local initiatives in the country to ban the planting of GMO crops. Indicative of its popularity, the Future of Food showed to a sold out audience of 1,500 at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco in 2004, a benefit for Slow Food, where it was introduced by Alice Waters.

In September 2005, The Future of Food made a highly acclaimed national theatrical premiere at Film Forum in New York, followed by a tour of more than a dozen major American cities in the fall. Applauded by technology writers, food policy experts and environmental activists, the film has been shown around the world—from a plaza in Oaxaca, Mexico to the Jerusalem Cinematheque, and in citizen screenings all over the world—from India, Kenya, and Bulgaria to Brazil and Indonesia. It screened at a wide variety of professional gatherings, including the Midwestern Organic Farmers Convention, the Organic Trade Association 2005 trade show and conference in Chicago, and the American Dietetic Association convention. Columbia and New York Universities showed it to their students.

Throughout 2006, the film continued to be shown globally – to the public and at conferences, such as The Soil Association Convention in London and the Japanese Organic Farmer’s Convention. Since 2004 The Future of Food has been featured at numerous film festivals including The Margaret Mead Film Festival, The American Film Institute/ Discovery Channel SILVERDOCS Festival, The Slow Food Film Festival, and the New Zealand Film Festival. The film has won awards for “Best Doc” at deadCENTER Film Festival; audience awards at both the Ann Arbor Film Festival and the Ashland Independent Film Festival; and the “Human Rights Award” at the Taos Film Festival. It was chosen by the Oscar screening committee of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences as one of the best documentaries of 2004. To date, The Future of Food has been translated into Spanish, French, Portuguese, Dutch, Italian and Japanese. If the most influential people in the world feel that GMO foods are ethical....
then it seems obvious to me that they are terribly incorrect.....

and they are heading our world in a direction that we went in five millennia in the past........

GMO is what we make it. Currently, we modify foods for production yeild at the cost of nutrition and safety. Thus, GMO's should be avoided. Its not cuz genetic modification is bad, but because the current modifications are bad for us.

Although what our government was doing was egregious, I don't believe that Snowden figured it out BEFORE Russia and China knew, and I don't think this individual's desire to reveal it was greater than their desires.

That is certainly an interesting comment!

I believe that Russia and China also have a Military Industrial Complex.......

and I believe that their Military Industrial Complex is even more corrupt and messed up than the one that is in the USA!
