    It doesn’t disprove anything either!

Since there is no evidence that Santa is Satan and also no evidence that Santa is not Satan we must hold both possibilities equally probable.

You think that Santa is only wearing a mitre to hide his develish horns - like the Easter Bunny does with his rabbit ears?

The modern Christmas tree found its roots in Germany
The modern Christmas tree was developed in 16th century Germany, when Christians would bring the trees into their homes and decorate them. These trees were traditionally decorated with roses, apples, wafers, tinsel – which the Germans also invented – and sweetmeats. By the 18th century the Christmas tree was popular throughout Germany, and illuminating it with wax candles was common in town across the affluent Rhineland. In the 19th century, the Christmas tree was considered an expression of German culture, particularly from those who emigrated overseas.

The queen who made it fashionable
In 1846, Queen Victoria and her German husband, Prince Albert, were shown in London News standing with their children around a Christmas tree. The couple and their family were popular with her subjects, and so the Christmas tree quickly became popular, not only in Britain but across American society too.

That their religion has nothing to do with the religion of the originators.

I am indifferent to them though it is worth noting that in some households a manger scene holds more significance to the season than the Christmas Tree

    Re:
I'm just curious, in what way is the Christmas tree considered satanic in any part of the Christian world?

    Thanks,

The tree can be considered an idol.

I have to admit that I do believe the Christmas tree custom has pagan origins....
but I do go and get a Christmas tree for my wife and daughter because they want one.....
and although I don't want one.....
I feel that the Grace of Messiah Yeshua - Jesus allows me to assist them in this because they do mean well in how they observe Christmas.....

So it is, but that does not make it satanic.
In a more neutral way one might say that the Christmas Tree dates back to pre- Christian times in Northern Europe.

And one cannot reproach the Swedes and Norwegians of old that they were not Christian - in the days before Christ!

    So it is.
And the first time that the Christmas Tree was mentioned in writing happened in the Alsace - across the River Rhine from the place where I live.

    I have just found this:

"God and the Bible Forbid Christmas Trees"

    And:

"Furthermore, God states clearly that he does not like the customs of other people (non Jews). There are multiple non-Jewish origins of decorating trees that pre-date the Christmas tree. Ancient (and modern) pagans would cut boughs of evergreens for decoration in their homes. Ancient Egyptians decorated their homes with palm tree branches. Greeks decorated evergreen trees as part of worship of their god Adonia. Pagan Romans would decorate trees with metal and replicas of Bacchus, a fertility god. Germans tied fruit and candles to trees in honor of their god Woden. Christians can not accurately claim that decorating a tree is not related to pagan idol worship."

All I can say to that is: OMG - how narrow minded!

If they were Muslim trees would they be rape trees or would they be sacrificed trees?

    Maybe pieces of trees?

Thanks, I hadn't thought that the tree could be perceived as an idol but you're right.

I hope nobody here is soooooooooooo fanatical as a fundamental "Christian" that he/she would hate Christmas trees.
