I get it, its a full cis bio female with too much testosterone and it doesn't fit the narrative of a trans.

    Nope.
A full cis bio woman is not allowed to compete sometimes. It blows the trans being allowed to compete out of the water. See, what bio gender one happens to be is not the main factor in competing or not.

No need to wakeup. I understand the trans part. It seems you do as well, as you separate the 2.

No, it's not. It's about a trans competing. See the OP.

I understand full the difference between male and female. But the topic is trans.

Kranes 56, I have a question about pronouns. If someone has transitioned or is transitioning I will respect that and treat them as their chosen gender, as I consider that to be a polite way to treat others. What I "think" or "feel" about it is irrelevant. But I will avoid using "they/them" even if that is their "preferred" pronoun, simply because I am of an age where I have considered those to be PLURAL pronouns my entire life, and do not consider them appropriate in addressing a singular person,.....to me it's like accusing them of having multiple personalities. As far as I understand, the definition of these words hasn't changed, except within the transgender community. To expect everyone else to go along with this word definition change is a problem IMO -- I think it's why people get catty and say that I prefer to be addressed as your royal highness, as an example. I have heard the suggestion that "ye" would be an appropriate pronoun and I agree that would be better -- it's old school English but at least it is referring to a singular person of no specific gender. Why do people try to co-opt language and make it mean something it never has previously?

Simply put, Lia Thomas can identify as a Woman all he wants, but if he was born with Male reproductive organs, HE'S a MAN BABY! If a Woman that identifies as a Man is born with Female reproductive organs, which short of a medical condition would allow her to become pregnant and give birth to a human being, she's a Biological Woman. Lia Thomas is a Biological Man competing as Woman, because he simply identifies as one, but still carries the advantages in strength biological Men have in sports, which gives him an unfair advantage over his biological female competitors. If he wants to compete in a Transgender category, that's fine, but as far competing against biological Women it shouldn't be allowed.

Austin Powers seems to have this figured out, why Liberals can't is baffling

The NCAA really needs to reconsider their policy toward M to F Trans Swimmers competing at Female Meets.

It is a horribly-mistaken policy that makes a mockery of Female Sports.

I’m not trying to be rude. I’m just trying to understand because “Thomas” is a trans woman (a biological male who converted to female)

This is the person this thread is about.

It is about a man in the OP. What am I missing here? The article said he has taken hormone blockers for over a year. A biological woman doesn’t need to do that.

I can say two things on this.
    1. They/them has always been a singular gender neutral pronoun and our plural pronoun. You used it in your response. But even then we also use it in a day to day setting. "I wonder who lost their cellphone". "I hope they like their gift". It's not new, it's just being used in a different way, which is what I think you're trying to get at.
    2. Language changes all the time. I'm sure there are some slang words from your time that you don't hear the kids say or use these days. It's not surprising as more people come out as trans, language changes to reflect this. I mean, for the longest time being trans was the same thing as gay. Nothing wrong about it either way, it's just how language changes.

Which is either a male or a female imitating the other sex's looks. Being "trans" does not make one the other sex and they, males pretending to be women, have an unfair advantage when competing against females.

Which per the rules doesn't disqualify the trans from competing. Just because she used to be a trans male.
But a full cis bodied female can be disqualified because of testosterone levels.
So, it's not just about whether one is a trans female, on the rules for competition.

Which most here are saying it's unfair advantage. Which it may or may not be.
But the competition committee thinks a high testosterone cis female can have an unfair advantage.

It's a complex issue. Not related to just cis female or trans females.

    No. It's not imitating.

Yes, it does make one the other sex.

This person was a real male as in born male, he transitioned to a female from a male. Read the article

    from the article

A transgender woman is a person that was biologically born as a male. Yes he did compete in the mans competition as a man because that’s what he is naturally. He didn’t swap back and forth. He has only transitioned once from man to fake woman.

Of course it is you cannot transition into the sex you were not born, dressing like the opposite does not make you the opposite nor any amount of body multilation.

This is a male competing against female and I showed you the results. Do you believe the NCAA should list him as the fastest woman of all time in these events? Do you believe the future of women's sports should be males claiming the records, records a female will never eclipse? Perhaps there should be an "*" now for "post males allowed to compete"?

Yes a MALE transgender. A MALE competing against FEMALES. I wonder why they didn't put that in the headline. I mean it IS possible a female transgender would be competing against females, or does the NCAA require female transgenders to compete against males?

Let's put this to a test you are saying that a trans male IS a female so they should be "able" to competed against women. Well if they ARE female as you claim should they then be REQUIRED to compete against women? Same with trans women who are now male according to you, should the be required to compete against men?

no fake woman. They are real. But a trans woman.
What one is born isn't necessarily what one actually is. As if obvious by the OP trans.

There are studies that suggest that a trans womans hormone blockers do not reduce muscle mass to even that of a trans man on steroids. Meaning their natural male physical muscle mass does not decrease. It is an unfair advantage.

Less of an advantage than a cis woman with high natural testosterone. According to the person I linked that was not able to compete in some events.

Here is a quote from a peer reviewed study.

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5357259/

The end result of that study suggests trans male (person assigned female at birth) could fairly compete but a trans female (someone assigned male at birth) was inconclusive because of the significant muscle mass still present. This study was a small pool of I think 36 people but it definitely suggests that trans female holds a muscle mass advantage over their cis female peers.
