Certainly a nation of poets will be conquered by a nation of warriors... but warrior poets are a thing too.

I believe it was Tacitus who expressed his concerns about the fate of Rome when he compared the "barbarian" men in the Germanic tribes to their "civilized" counterparts in the Eternal City who had grown physically, morally and intellectually soft living in the lap of the Empire's luxuries. These were not the same Roman men who had conquered much of the Western World, and sure enough they would fall to the rougher more vigorous men who deposed the last Emperor in 476 AD.

It's somewhat befitting of what had become of Rome that its last ruler was a boy who was no match for the men who took everything from him:

    3028350e78325b6eb93010a27bc5a0e8.jpeg

Reportedly, Odoacer would have also taken Romulus Augustulus' life were it not for his "youth and beauty".

    The picture says it all...

Yeah... I don't think you know what International Relations looks like. Because IR is the basic acronym for International Relations.

I just don't think they're related. Fertility rates and men acting less like *******s, or whatever it is you think is rampant here. Well, in a couple months I will beat replacement (3rd child), and my father has done it twice over.

Fertility rates are more about women in the culture. It doesn't take a lot of men to keep the fertility rate going, just ask russia after ww2. But it does depend upon cultural factors of which religious monogamy and encouragement of premarital abstinence is a detriment.

Lower fertility seems to have more to do with high economic status, except in certain religions where having as many babies as possible is strongly encouraged, e.g. mormons.

    Agreed.
For example, King David was a magnificent warrior poet.

Are we afraid our Trans soldiers won't be able to push buttons to blow things up?

We aren't going to be fighting wars with swords anytime soon.

The people afraid that our men are becoming feminized will all be dead in 50 years and they won't matter.

I assume you're one that likes to use acronyms.

There are many on the web that are much more interested in typing shortcuts
that save THEM time and work, than they are in doing all they can to help their
    readers understand their comments.

Here is what I responded to:
"I want to go on record at this moment to say this is literally just feminist IR theories if sexism is framed as a good thing."

How many out of the world's some 7 billion people do you think would know that IR stands for International Relations?

Here, as a general rule of thumb, is my approach to comments with unrecognized acronyms:

I ignore their posts or just glance at them and move on to less lazy posters.
    Life is short.
I have many political battles to fight against the liberals.
I have books waiting to be read.
I have articles waiting to be written.
I have restaurants waiting to be visited.
    I don't have time . . . or any interest . . . in googling unknown acronyms.
The Internet is saturated with Endless Mouth Running and so there is no shortage of comments to read.
If anyone wants ME (and in my view many others) to seriously consider their comments they will avoid the use of acronyms.

All that push button warfare stuff is a giant load of bovine droppings.
All of America's wars have been fought on the ground with infantry soldiers with rifles, pistols, and knives
against other enemy soldiers with rifles, pistols, and knives ~
    Vietnam,
    Irag,
    Afghanistan,
    Grenada
The hunt for and the killing of Osama bin Laden
All the SEALs special opps missions

Drone attacks alone can never wins wars.

Regarding your "dead in 50 years" :
THAT principle applies fully to all the soft weak feminized emasculated intellectualized softies
that now infest the world ~ they will ALL be dead within 1200 months. DEAD and GONE. And
    good riddance.

None of the wars you listed were necessary.

We will actually never have to fight a war that is necessary as long as we have nuclear weapons.

If we are ever truly faced with an existential threat, we would nuke them into oblivion.

You are talking about IR and you don’t want to use acronyms? You’re going to make bold assumptions about international relations but you don’t want to use acronyms? I’m sorry but that’s just ridiculous.

Now I know there are a lot of people on the internet who have opinions. The problem is these opinions don’t have any basis in what’s actually happening. I mean, look at your OP. Did you even realize you were making feminist arguments for international relations, just by framing sexism as a good thing? I want an answer on that. I don’t think you did. So to say you don’t understand your own argument, is really worrying. Do you understand what a security dilemma is? Or the role anarchy plays? What an IGO is?

look if you want to make claims about IR that’s fine but make sure you have a solid foundation first.

    I said nothing about IR.
I have zero interest in IR.
My OP is not about IR.
Some other poster was talking about IR.
I told him/her/it that I didn't know what IR was and I, at this point, don't give a rat's butt what IR is, or is not.
For all I know IR can stand for Idiot Real-life.
Can you read? I didn't frame sexism as a good thing. I did the exact opposite of that. Are smoking something?
An IGO can stand for an Idiot Going On ~ and Thread World is saturated with them. I am sure you are NOT one.

    Best Regards.

I was just watching a video the other day about fascism. One of the characteristics of fascistic thought is the opposition to feminism, and another, the promotion of tough guy masculinity, not to forget their opposition to intellectualism. It seems you have included all three. Not to mention your praise of a god and condemnation of the Left.

You know, conservatism began, as a movement, in opposition to the French Revolution. The French didn't just overthrow their monarchy, they killed the royals and their supporters, completely destroying the institution. They also killed the bishops who worked in concert with the monarchy to subject the people. Not content to destroy their own monarchy, the French marched across Europe destroying monarchies, one after another - turning Europe into a continent full of democracies. Later, they brought democracy to African nations as well. No country has spread democracy around the world more than France has. It is easy to see why conservatives hate the French.

I kind of get a kick out of conservatives always going on about masculinity, manliness and all that. But then, I am well aware that the alt-right movement grew out of the so-called seduction community. Where men could go to get advice from other men on how to seduce and pick-up women. Steve Bannon made a fortune from scams instructing other men on how to pick-up women. Think about that. I have found it mildly amusing that there seems to be significantly more sexual frustration among conservatives than liberals. But then, isn't sexual pleasure part of one of the three libs that make up liberal. Lib for books and education, lib for free men, and lib for Bacchanalian type activities.

I am quite liberal. A woman once told me that I had the perfect balance, enough masculinity to turn her on yet feminine enough to be comfortable to be around. I don't really know how good looking I really am, but throughout my life I have always had favorable interactions with girls and women. Repeatedly I have been in situations where women have given me favorable treatment. A little smile seems to go a long way. Attracting women has never been a problem for me. At times it is the opposite. Too many attracted, or an undesirable one. I began playing sports in fifth grade and have been quite active all my life. In my sixties and my primary mode of transportation is my bicycle. And, of course, I still have those "guns" that many women seem to enjoy running their hands over. I was an A student from kindergarten through college and have mostly worked in R&D labs. I guess that makes me one of those intellectualized types too. And, I have fathered children. Raised them too.

But emasculated, whipped and on my knees? In your fantasies.

It has been intellectualism that has brought us modernity. Without it, human technology would still be little more than dragging sticks in the dirt.

Liberalism really is an evolutionary step upwards, is it not?

I butchered and skinned a wild hog yesterday.
After it was shot I hung it upside down in a tree, took my nice sharp buck knife and eviscerated it.

Got up to my elbows and it's entrails.

Cut it in half down the center with a hacksaw, and quartered it up and packaged it all up and Frozen.

Tonight I had a piece of its tenderloin that I flame charbroiled on the grill.

Then at my work, we do assist some people in putting air in their tire.... We already provide the air for free I don't mind helping out elderly people handicapped people or women but I have grown men come up to me and want me to put air in their tires.... As a grown man I would be very embarrassed to ask another grown man to do that for me.

Sure trans soldiers can push buttons but that doesn't take the "steel" to run a country! Uncle Joe is living a fantasy now that facing down Putin is just like facing down "CornPop" in one of his precious fantasies. Feminized men have fantasies alright. They just don't have any steel because the never actually contest!

    Your OP:
    "Can soft feminized nations survive?"
"Islam, pouring into Europe by the tens of millions, is building mosques all over
Europe and building up their Islamic religion strong and powerful."
"So Islam, with high Fertility Rates, will soon first conquer Europe demographically,
then democratically through Europe's one-man-one-vote democratic elections."

Yeah this is about international immigration, which is an IR concept. You're talking about IR. I mean you even cite Huntington, who does IR work and has been throughly criticized for his whole "civilizations" argument.

Do you have IR on the brain?

Regarding your point about Huntington: Its highly likely his critics were
befuddled liberal Philosophical Academic Talking Heads and what they
said can be dismissed as a large load of bovine droppings.

Moreover, here in the 21st century, its generally a war of all against all and
criticism from all quarters is routine, expected, and a giant yawn.
