The young and healthy don't need the vaccine. In fact, they have better survivability than a 60 year old with the vaccine.

This thoughtless focus on vaccines for the young, when all they should be worried about is decent therapeutics if they do get it is terrible. The baseless fears people have are crippling the nation.

I heard today that because of the shutdowns kids born during the quarantine are showing massive IQ drops. They aren't getting the stimulation they need.

 

Immunity lasts for a lifetime. Your body, after exposure to COVID-19, can then respond much better to future COVID-19 exposure. That's how the adaptive immune system works and has always worked. -- To clarify, immunity does NOT mean absolute protection from. One can still get COVID-19 after obtaining immunity, but symptoms are typically much milder (or never develop).

What doesn't get talked about at all is the fact that the "COVID-19 variants" are no longer COVID-19 anymore, but are different viruses entirely (I would assume also a part of the SARS-CoV series of viruses). Calling the variants "COVID-19 variants" is just semantic gameplaying to attach these other viruses to the "established brand" of COVID-19.

Let's say that you are A, your brother is B, and your other brother is C. Do you call C the "brother of your brother"? Of course not! You simply call him your brother.

The same should apply to the "COVID-19 variants" language... COVID-19 is already a variant (within the SARS-CoV series of viruses), so Alpha, Delta, Omicron, etc are all just variants in addition to the COVID-19 variant. They are not somehow still COVID-19, but the media is considering them to be COVID-19 (even though they have identities separate from COVID-19).

 

It's quiet hysterical how the GOP rips on AOC when she's caught without a mask in a crowed where nobody else is wearing one, at a place where it's not required, because that's the GOP policy.

 

Bingo. Vaccines train the immune system to better respond to a particular virus. This typically means that one does not become the least bit symptomatic upon future exposure to that particular virus (or in certain cases only becomes mildly symptomatic).

With so many people ending up symptomatic "for COVID" (I'm just going along with what is being said by the CDC and others), even though they've been jabbed three times, it's obvious that the jabs aren't working. HOWEVER, I would posit, besides other reasons for why the jabs aren't working, that they are also not working because Omicron is NOT Delta, and neither of them are COVID-19. They are all different viruses (likely all within the SARS-CoV series of viruses).

A COVID-19 vaccine is not going to work for Omicron just as an H1N1 vaccine is not going to work for H3N2. It's my view that the COVID-19 jabs that are currently being administered are akin to administering flu jabs for strains of the flu other than the ones that are actually spreading around. The result of overall ineffectiveness seems to be similar.

The issue is not the fact that she isn't wearing a mask (where it isn't required). The issue is her hypocrisy, because she keeps telling everybody else to wear a mask, get jabbed, socially distance, yet she doesn't do any of it herself. She also advocates for tyrannical policy (such as how it is in NYC) and then she boogies on down to Florida where it is free. She should be living under her own tyrannical policies that she advocates for instead of fleeing to the freedom that she advocates against.
