I'd give him credit if he'd admitted responsibility for lying on his application rather than simply throwing one of his staff under the bus.
Hopefully his family will now put on another press conference and apologise for lying to everyone about him following all the rules correctly.

Your internal logic fails. Who is the "individual moron"? The guy who had covid and survived? So what if he isn't also vaccinated. It isn't like vaccinations are keeping people from getting sick, is it. Not a question. Those are the facts. We know he isn't covid hot, because he had to show his status while traveling through Dubai. They don't let you out of quarantine at the airport if you test hot. So, he is healthy. He's had covid, so he has all of the necessary antibodies to keep him healthy, more than any anti viral Pfizer dreamed up. So why the animosity? You attack Novak as a "moron", and yet he's likely the least likely person to produce a threat or risk to anyone.

The Australian government, on the other hand, certainly has stoked the threat of this violence by their continued use of misinformation to castigate Novak. It appears the government is far more responsible for any violence that could ensue given their own handling of this. And the world does laugh at them. They look like the small fearful folk they are. So Novak playing in many ways reminds me of the courage that Jesse showed when he shoved his talent in Hitlers face at the olympics. I say, best of luck Novak.

Don't even get me started on what his family has been saying this entire time.... It's clear the nutty apple didn't fall far from the tree...

I can believe somebody like Djokovic doesn't fill out his own documentation, so that's plausible at least...

    Djokovic, in this case...

Oh, I see you figured that out already...

Aussie perspectives are always welcome... usually spot on and a breath of much needed fresh air...

What's the feeling down there about that immigration guy kicking him out anyway? I say it won't happen, but it's still a possibility. These "form errors" certainly didn't help his case...

LOL at "Eurostar cowboy".... Dibs on band name...

LoL.... the Australian perspective. Turn your country into an authoritarian hell world for this....

The absolute idiots in their government pretended they could stop an international virus. Welcome to reality Australia, enjoy your pandemic.

I see you had no legitimate response. I understand the difficulty in producing one to what I pointed out. Calling Novak names though doesn't seem very nice. Which begs the whole question of who's egging on violence again?

    I'm less charitable.
I can't believe he didn't check it before it was sent.

I can believe he didn't even see it before it was sent... I can imagine he signed a blank form at some point and the rest is taken care of for him......that's why his people have people.... it's a benefit of celebrity...

That or he's stone cold lying.... always an option with the mentality that would avoid a simple vaccine...

Time is a thing. Everybody in Australia is going to get Covid. Perhaps you should wait until that event has happened. Better yet, wait a decade and then do the comparison. Covid is endemic and is NEVER going away..... kind of like Australia's human rights are never coming back.

You mean the one we opened up to AFTER we got to 90% vaccinated?

    Time is a thing.
Australia's policies have protected the population through the time vaccines were not available. Allowing them to get to a time where effective treatments, vaccines and a dominant mild strain of the virus have much reduced the chance of dying from covid.
Australia's enviable low death rate will never approach that of the US which has one of the highest.

Australia is cringe all the way down. Their education system is such utter crap that they have to have an ebonics translator when their premier makes medical announcements. I guess the idea of educating minorities to communicate in English is a novel idea to Australia.

But that's Omicron, not Delta. We have a different strategy. 2000 deaths here vs 800,000 USA

    Well, well….

So he lied on his entry form and he knowingly took part in an interview while positive.

If I or my wife behaved the same way in this or most other countries, we’d be facing fines and/or a period of detention.

Just another in a line of spoilt-brat, entitled tennis wankers.

    He can piss off….

Well, I have changed my mind on this. Novak was in Spain, training, before he flew to Australia, 3 days later. And then did not disclose that on his Visa form. He and his team knew that.

Sorry Novak and team, pack your bags and fly out of Oz. Try again next year.

Mel Gibson's Braveheart was a disgraceful distortion of the truth but Australia's Covid record is enviable.

How was Braveheart a “disgraceful distortion” of the truth?

Good question... other than the fact that his girlfriend/wife in the movie had absolutely perfect teeth for 1280... my wife always points that out when we watch....

William Wallace was not a humble peasant as portrayed.
He was a noble born of privilege.
There is evidence that he fought as a mercenary for the hated English in his early life
Best of all, the woman he had a romantic time with in the movie was a true historical figure who happened to be 4 years old at the time of Wallace's death. Now I'm not saying he didn't have sex with her but it would have been a far less romantic scene than the one portrayed.
The whole film is full of inaccuracies and nothing more than anti-English propaganda from a misogynistic alcoholic.
