    I doubt he'll get it. Parole boards have to follow certain protocols and these often result in their letting really egregious people go. That's why the governor has the final say.

    As Kennedy concluded his speech, Romero was presented with another opportunity to meet the senator again — he had just finished a room service order and was in the area of the pantry where Sirhan Sirhan was waiting with his gun.

    “I thought there was a person that couldn’t wait to shake his hand,” he told the court, “and I thought I was going to be interested to watch it, and so I was watching it and I … seen him put his — he put his arm like that and he shot two shots and then I saw a gun and then I turned around and I seen he was right in front of him (the senator) and I leaned down and put my hand to the back of his head and tried to give him some, whatever I could, aid, some aid; that is about all I could do.”

    This is California. If the one he killed was not a beloved darling of the Left, he would already have been let out.

    Unfortunately for him, the President he killed wasn't Reagan, Bush, or Trump.

    Well, that's in large part because a bunch of them can't read or write. I taught in a prison before I got my elementary school position, I've seen where most of these guys are at. Although there's no real way to prove it, I strongly suspect a huge chunk of these guys would NEVER have entered the legal system if they'd stayed in school because many of them never did.

    I agree. That's been my experience as well; however, it is very difficult for anyone that has been incarcerated to rejoin society on stable footing without a lot of support.

    And, I've read it a few times this week but some people seem to be under the impression that our prison system is designed for rehabilitation. I'm waiting on some answers for why they think that. It's got me curious.

    P.S. Teaching elementary school kids = My hat is off to you! I love my kids more than I can describe. I would die or kill for my children but there is no way I'd walk into a classroom with 10 times as many of those Energizer Bunnies. I advocate you all getting hazard duty pay for that gig! ;-)

    I just read that in all 13 shots were fired at the time in that hotel pantry. Impossible, they all came from Sirhan!
    Also, someone
    "uncovered new video and photographic evidence suggesting that three senior CIA operatives were behind the killing."
    He claimed that three men seen in video and photographs of the Ambassador Hotel immediately before and after the assassination were positively identified as CIA operatives David Sánchez Morales, Gordon Campbell and George Joannides.
