Those indictments are just for the left to drool on. They are impossible to make and anyone who is represented by an attorney is laughing at such notions.

Don't get off into the weeds.... Yes legally supported... Trump was a duly elected president elected by the people.

 

What they didn't accomplish doesn't exonerate them.

What they believed they could do, wanted to, planned to do, their emails that lay it all out, that is relevant and will probably be what actually has a legal bearing on their case.

I didn't say it exonerated them. My point is it wasn't dangerous to the Republic if you counted them up and segregated out the ones who were just there to party and walked out when the Capitol police told them to. The guy with horns was a ridiculous figure. He couldn't stop a lemonade stand, never mind a whole country. What kind of insurrection is that? Everyone is acting like it was the Cuban missile crisis.

The militias never enjoyed wide support among normal conservatives. They were just weirdos who met in the woods and played army. They still are. Now we conservatives are conscious of them and I, at least, am embarrassed and will be watching them. But I'll bet anyone here $100 that they do not materialize and start another riot in 2024 if the event Trump runs and loses again. His "rigged election" claims won't sail a second time.

There will always be fringe elements, of course. The riot and Trump's role was denounced by the Republican leadership. Some remained silent, but NONE said "Way to go!"

I really wish I knew who was running in 2024. This is the first time in my life when I haven't had the slightest idea. I think Chris Christie wants to run. He'd beat Kamala Harris or Bernie or Hillary.

But he would not beat Michelle Obama. Nor would Mike Pence.

Apparently you don't know about "contingent elections"; IF "they" could have stopped the Certification of EC votes long enough for Benedict Donald to declare marshal law and force a Contingent election then tRump would have won because there are more red States than blue States; in a "Contingent Election the Presidency is decided by a roll call vote of each state and each State gets one vote, all it takes is a simple majority. So, yes, it was every bit and more dangerous to OUR Republic as the Cuban missile crisis or any other crisis this Nation has ever faced.

I'll take that bet because, right now, critical red states are trying to give their legislatures the power to throw out the popular vote and choose the winning candidate themselves. So, even if tRump loses again he very well could become president ... again.

Yes, now that you mention it, IF, Mrs. Obama were to run I think she would run away with the popular vote AND the EC. But, then those red States I mentioned could very well throw out that vote and choose Donald Judas tRump anyway.

Yes, we all read the indictments. Which is why the same people are asking, why the hell are you charging a senior citizen who never entered the capital, planned the riot, fought with the police, or rioted.

Which means if they just blanket charged everyone with the same charges, the indictments are worthless. You have to make every count in the indictment for every single person or the judge will be forced by the defendant attorneys to dismiss the cases.

Indictments are not a net you can throw. They are required by law to be very precise in their charges and EVERY count in those indictments have to be made before a jury can convene for a guilty or not guilty vote.

So if they were dumb enough to indict everyone with the exact same charges, very few (if any) will see convictions.

But this is a public trial.... this is a fake committee... the DOJ will keep the indictments open for show until after the election.... smoke and mirrors..... the DOJ don't want to convict anyone right now ....... the left will have this to ride through the election.... if they are lucky even the 2024 election..... they will "what if " us to death...

You're the one equating civil defense with rebelling against the govt ...but since you asked, I'd say rebellion would be justifiable in the case of, say, the Nazi's Night of the Long Knives, Stalin's Great Purge, the Khmer Rouge's Killing Fields or similar. Of course, in order to effectively resist something like that, one would need to be prepared and organized to do so before it actually happened.
